Tulip, the leader in frontline operations, is helping companies around the world equip their workforce with connected apps, leading to higher quality work, improved efficiency, and end-to-end traceability across operations. Companies of all sizes and across industries have implemented composable solutions with Tulip’s cloud-native, no-code platform to solve some of the most pressing challenges in operations: error-proofing processes and boosting productivity, capturing and analyzing real-time data, and continuous improvement.

  • You love a good challenge and learning new things.

About the TechOps Engineering Team:

The TechOps Engineering team is responsible for "keeping the lights on", handling the fast growing customer workload across the globe (from US to China, we host Tulip everywhere) as well as owning and evolving the entire cloud architecture. • Exposure and facility with the following is beneficial: Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible, AWS, Azure, Go, Typescript, Prometheus/Mimir/Thanos, Terraform.
  • Understanding and experience of enterprise data persistence layers (both NoSQL and SQL databases, key/value stores, messaging like AMQP/MQTT, etc) is relevant.
  • Independent of any one technology, experience in managing cloud-based workloads at scale - and understanding the need for effective observability and monitoring - are challenges we are currently addressing.
  • And in harmony with Tulip’s overall ethos, candidates should have an interest in designing and continuously improving internal processes throughout our organization.
  • Experience with US companies is a plus but not required
  • Experience with startups is a plus

  • The team also owns the CI/CD infrastructure, internally-developed tools, and generally supports developers that are designing and building Tulip applications and services.
  • We see the harmonization of infrastructure and software as a key factor for our success. That's why DevOps is closely connected to our developers during the entire software lifecycle.
  • This role involves being part of an on-call rotation for coverage with the rest of the team.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
