The Head of Content and Web will manage website content, design, conversion strategies, and AI-driven tools, focusing on optimizing performance and brand consistency for diverse audiences in a regulated industry.

PreVeil is a rapidly growing tech company transforming secure communication and compliance for the modern enterprise. Our encrypted email and file sharing platform delivers the strength of end-to-end encryption with the simplicity of Dropbox and has been recognized by PC Magazine as the Best Encrypted Email and File Sharing Solution five years in a row.

We are trusted by over 2,500 defense contractors and have become the gold standard for protecting sensitive information and achieving compliance efficiently.

PreVeil is profitable, growing 100% year-over-year, and building for the long term.

PreVeil is hiring a Head of Content & Web to own two of our most important growth assets: our content engine and our website.

This is a senior individual contributor role with the expectation of growing into a team leadership position as the functions scale. You'll work with outside consultants and agencies from day one.

You'll leverage our deep domain authority in CMMC, our proprietary AI Context Lake, and modern AI tools to produce content, build website experiences, and pull data that would otherwise require a full team- and you know the difference between good and exceptional.

What You'll Own

Website Build and maintain a best-in-class website that converts visitors through clear, solution-focused content, sharp design, and AI-driven personalized experiences. Own the full scope: content, structure, design, conversion optimization, and experimentation. A defense contractor prospect sees different messaging and CTAs than a healthcare visitor or an existing customer — you'll build and manage those experiences.

Content Production & Campaign Calendar Own PreVeil's editorial and campaign calendar across our blog, thought leadership, case studies, and more. Use AI tools and our Context Lake to turn customer insights into assets, while refreshing top performers, retiring stale assets, and identifying coverage gaps across verticals, the partner channel, and customer success.

SEO & GEO/AEO Own PreVeil's visibility across traditional search and LLMs — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot. That means content optimization, but also actively getting PreVeil cited- securing placements in the publications, threads, and third-party sites that LLMs pull from. We use AirOps today and have early traction; you'll own the strategy to accelerate it.

Brand Voice & Messaging Consistency Serve as the steward of PreVeil's brand voice — ensuring every external touchpoint, regardless of format or who produced it, sounds like PreVeil. This becomes increasingly critical as we scale our team across customer success, partnerships, and new markets.

What Success Looks Like at 6 Months

  • Website conversion rates are up and personalization is live for at least two audience segments
  • We’re publishing content at a higher cadence than today and quality is measurably up — traffic to new and refreshed posts is growing and time on page is increasing
  • An AI content workflow is operational, using Context Lake inputs to produce multi-format output
  • A first AI-created lead gen or solution-selling tool is live on the site
  • Citation rate and traffic from AI-generated answers for CMMC-related queries is trending up

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Boston-based or able to collaborate in-person multiple days per week

Experience

  • 5 years of proven track record owning a website end-to-end: content, design, conversion optimization, and analytics
  • Experience tying content directly to pipeline and conversion metrics
  • Background in a technical field — cybersecurity, compliance, defense, or a similarly regulated industry — strongly preferred

AI & Technical Skills

  • AI is your primary production tool- not occasional ChatGPT prompts, but actual workflows: an interactive tool, a personalization workflow, automated content pipeline
  • Proficient with SEO and GEO/AEO strategy, content optimization and performance measurement
  • Familiar with AI-forward marketing and web tools- personalization platforms like Mutiny, content workflow tools like AirOps or Tofu, and GEO monitoring tools like Profound, Peec, AirOps. Our current stack includes WordPress, AirOps, GA4, Figma, Nooks, HubSpot and Salesforce. We're looking for someone who approaches every problem with an AI-first mindset- the specific tools are secondary.

Skills & Mindset

  • Good human- You build trust quickly across Product Marketing, Sales, RevOps, CS, and the Executive team
  • Intellectually curious- you pick up technical concepts quickly
  • Gritty and self-sufficient- you can set the strategy and do the work yourself
  • Sharp eye for design and a high bar for quality- you know what excellent looks like
  • Process-oriented and able to keep a high-volume content operation running cleanly
  • Metrics-driven- you set clear KPIs, prioritize them, and know how to measure & communicate wins

Why This Role Is Exceptional

  • Category authority in a high-urgency market. CMMC compliance is non-negotiable for 100,000 defense contractors & PreVeil is the leading solution for SMBs.
  • Visible, measurable impact. This is a lean team. Your work will directly influence revenue and how the market perceives PreVeil.
  • Profitable company, strong growth. We're investing in building something great.
  • Work with proven entrepreneur founders with a track record of scaling a company to $500M+ revenue and a successful public exit.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
