Key Areas of Responsibility
Accounting Leadership
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, monthly close, revenue recognition, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, state and local tax requirements, and internal control frameworks
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and audit coordination with external auditors
- Implement scalable accounting policies, processes, and systems (e.g., NetSuite, expense management, reporting automation)
- Provide forward-looking analysis on revenue, margins, and cash flow to guide strategic initiatives
- Build dynamic financial models that link unit economics, operational KPIs, and capital structure
- Support financing activities (ABS programs, credit facilities, equity raises) through analysis, modeling, and lender reporting
- Support corporate budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across departments and markets
- Deliver actionable insights on unit economics, growth drivers, and cost optimization to senior leadership
- Create standardized dashboards and KPI reporting for leadership and board updates
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of accounting and FP&A professionals to ensure timely, accurate, and analytical support
- Partner closely with Operations, Marketing, and Risk teams to align financial outcomes with strategic goals
- Serve as the key liaison between the Finance function and external stakeholders, including auditors, lenders, and investors
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience across accounting, FP&A, and financial operations; preferably a strong blend of both public accounting and in-house leadership roles
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial systems (NetSuite), and internal control design
- A bias for action and ownership mentality, with a reputation for rolling up your sleeves, working hard, and driving results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to lead teams through scaling phases and establish structure in dynamic, fast-moving environments
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in day-to-day execution
