The Role
As Product Manager at VEIR, you will lead the development and evolution of our product lines from conception through launch. Acting as a key link between our engineering, commercial, and customer-facing teams, you’ll drive strategic alignment across the business and help translate technical innovation into market-ready solutions. You’ll work closely with engineers, marketing, business development, and customers to shape and refine our product offerings, define market opportunities, and ensure product-market fit. This role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for innovative hardware technologies. You will also build strong industry relationships and contribute to go-to-market strategies that position VEIR’s technology for success. 

In the first 3 months you'll

  • Ramp up on VEIR’s product portfolio and refine business cases for upcoming launches. 
  • Learn detailed technical requirements and specifications across product lines. 
  • Conduct in-depth customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis. 
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI. 

In the first 6 months you'll

  • Partner with commercial & applications teams to provide detailed technical product knowledge to customers contributing to VEIR’s commercial success for specified product lines. 
  • Lead the NPI stage gates for specified products ensuring development is tracking towards a successful product launch and meeting the product’s MVP. 
  • Define product requirements and specifications based on customer needs, market research, and regulatory/standards and compliance (IEEE, UL, NEC, IEC). 
  • Plan and execute product specific promotional activities in partnership with marketing including trade shows, new product introduction, social media, videos, and content marketing.   

By the end of the first year you will have

  •  Define the market for potential new VEIR products and solutions; understand and present market analysis including market definition, market sizing, growth rates, economic drivers, and technical viability. 
  • Develop technical collateral including product specs, whitepapers, and sales enablement tools 
  • Define value propositions and messaging for new product introductions. 
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, balancing short-term milestones with long-term growth opportunities. 
  • Support commercial efforts as the subject matter expert for your product line, including specs, configurations, customization potential, and roadmap direction.  
  • Act as a cross-functional leader, aligning engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and commercial teams. 

To be successful in this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field. (advanced degree preferred) 
  • 2-5 years of product management experience, ideally in industrial hardware products or complex systems development. 
  • Direct experience managing NPI lifecycles for industrial hardware products from concept through launch.  
  • Experience with energy infrastructure, power electronics hardware or data center solutions is a plus. 
  • Experience conducting voice of customer (VoC) discovery interviews, competitive analysis, and use case validation for industrial hardware products.   
  • Familiarity with phase gate or stage-gate development processes and experience driving cross-functional product development timelines.  
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, including electrical, mechanical, cryogenics, and control systems. Experience working with utilities and medium- to high-voltage power distribution or transmission infrastructure is highly preferred.
  • Be comfortable working on complex, first-of-their-kind hardware products with evolving requirements.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear business value for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excel at managing ambiguity and making data-informed decisions to prioritize product direction.
  • Show curiosity about VEIR’s technology and a desire to deeply understand how it fits into the energy and data center ecosystems.
  • Bring a product mindset that balances customer needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
  • Be energized by building structure in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of staff and with external stakeholders.  
  • Highly motivated, energetic, mature, and detail-oriented with a positive approach to problem solving.
