We're in a period of significant growth. There's an enormous amount to build, improve, and shape and every hire changes the trajectory of the company.
Recruiting, done right, is one of the most meaningful things you can do in a company.
Not because of the contract. Because of the person and the impact they'll have on the culture, the business, and the people around them. That's the standard we hold here, and that's what we're looking for in you.
We're not looking for someone to move CVs from one inbox to another. We're looking for a recruiter who thinks like a builder, proactive, creative, and genuinely invested in the quality of every hire. Someone who brings real AI capabilities to the process, challenges the way things are usually done, and cares deeply about both the candidate experience and the long-term culture they're helping shape.
You'll be a true partner to hiring managers, to candidates, and to the team we're building together.
About the role:
- Own the full recruitment cycle - from creative sourcing to offer and close.
- Hire not just for the role, but for the contribution to culture, business, and team- every hire matters.
- Challenge the way recruiting is done - bring AI tools, automation, and unconventional approaches to sourcing and outreach.
- Partner deeply with hiring managers - understand the team, the business need, and what "great" actually looks like beyond the job description.
- Build a candidate experience worth talking about - every touchpoint is a reflection of who we are.
- Contribute to employer branding - content, campaigns, and representing Upwind in the talent market.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes - if something isn't working, say so, change it, try something new.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our ATS (Comeet).
- 4+ years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Partner in a fast-growing startup environment - Must
- Hands-on experience recruiting for global Go-To-Market roles (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success)
- Real AI capabilities - you're actively using AI tools in your recruiting work, not just aware of them.
- Data-driven decision making- you use data to inform sourcing strategies, evaluate pipelines, and improve outcomes.
- Experience leading global, end-to-end recruiting processes across multiple regions and markets
- Proactive by nature- you don't wait to be asked to make something better.
- Creative- in sourcing, outreach, and process design.
- You hire for meaningful contribution- not just to close a req.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills- a true people-person with high emotional intelligence.
For New York City-based hires only: The base salary range for this role is $120,000–$150,000, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and location within the East Coast region.
