GTM Engineer
Location: New York City (Grand Central), NY (in-office 4 days/week)
Reports to: VP, GTM
Level: Senior IC
At Kizen, we build technology that makes AI actually work for people.
Our platform helps organizations automate the workflows that matter most — from helping insurance agents manage contracting and commissions, to enabling healthcare providers to deliver proactive patient care, to empowering financial institutions to classify documents and extract data automatically.
And that’s just the beginning. With Kizen, developers can build new enterprise applications, while business users can customize dashboards and agents using AI, low-code, or code – all on the same platform. The possibilities are limited only by imagination.
What used to take months or years to build, configure, and connect now takes just days. Kizen combines powerful pre-built agents and use cases with an enterprise platform for automation and data connection – all built on an AI-first architecture that’s easy to adopt, scale, and trust.
We’re not chasing hype. We’re solving real operational problems and helping the world’s most complex organizations work faster, smarter, and more humanely.
Join us in transforming how industries work – one workflow, one agent, and one customer success story at a time.
The Role
We’re looking for someone to build the systems that move deals forward – from first signal to renewal – all on the Kizen platform.
This is not a traditional RevOps, Sales Ops, or Marketing Ops role. This is a hands-on systems builder role for someone who understands revenue motions and knows how to architect and automate the underlying infrastructure.
Kizen is both our internal GTM operating system and the CRM platform we sell to customers. You will be building directly on the Kizen platform, shaping how our own revenue engine runs while influencing how our product evolves.
This role is not a one-time setup. As our GTM motion, AI capabilities, territories, and customer segments evolve, the systems that power revenue must evolve with them. This role owns that evolution.
If you think in pipelines, data models, workflows, automations, APIs, AI agents, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Own the GTM data model and system foundation
- Define and evolve the core data model across accounts, contacts, opportunities, activities, products, renewals, and AI interactions
- Ensure data structures support reporting, forecasting, automation, permissions, and scale
- Balance flexibility for teams with consistency for leadership visibility
Build and own the end-to-end GTM system on Kizen
- Architect and maintain workflows across Lead → Account → Opportunity → Close → Post-sale handoff → Renewal
- Translate GTM strategy into durable system behavior rather than one-off processes
- Continuously evolve how the system operates as segments, motions, and products change
Design and operate “AI BDR” systems for lead follow-up and qualification
- Build AI-driven workflows that handle inbound lead response, follow-up, and early qualification
- Define how and when AI agents engage prospects versus when leads are routed to human sellers
- Ensure clean, reliable handoff between AI-driven engagement and AEs
- Focus on improving speed-to-lead, consistency, and conversion through iteration and learning
Use AI and data enrichment to qualify and score leads
- Integrate data enrichment tools and intent signals to improve lead quality and routing decisions
- Design scoring and prioritization logic that combines firmographic data, engagement signals, and AI-derived insights
- Continuously refine qualification and scoring models as volumes, segments, and GTM strategy evolve
Design territory alignment and account assignment systems
- Build flexible territory and segmentation logic to support coverage models and growth
- Support account assignment, reassignment, and greenfield expansion as the business evolves
- Ensure ownership and visibility models scale cleanly across GTM roles
Engineer revenue workflows and pipeline systems
- Build systems that support deal progression, inspection, and forecasting without over-constraining teams
- Improve deal velocity, data quality, and follow-through through automation and system design
- Enable leadership to understand pipeline health, trends, and change over time
Integrate and orchestrate the GTM stack
- Connect Kizen with tools such as ZoomInfo, Apollo, Gong, Freshdesk, email, calendar, and internal systems
- Design event-driven workflows using APIs and integrations to reduce manual work and improve data flow
Partner closely with GTM leadership
- Work side-by-side with Sales, Marketing, Support, and Leadership to shape GTM systems strategy
- Balance near-term execution with long-term scalability and adaptability
- Treat GTM systems as a living product that requires ongoing ownership and iteration
What You Must Have
- Strong systems and solutions DNA; you’ve built or owned revenue systems rather than just administered them
- Deep GTM fluency across funnels, pipeline stages, conversion, velocity, and forecasting
- Experience designing or operating automated or AI-assisted lead flows
- Comfort with architecting territory models, account ownership, and assignment logic
- Hands-on builder mindset with a bias toward iteration and experimentation
- Technical comfort with APIs, integrations, automation tooling, and system logic
- Strong data fluency with structured data (SQL or equivalent)
- 4-8+ years of experience in GTM systems, revenue operations, sales architecture, or adjacent roles
- Experience in B2B SaaS or vertical SaaS strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience building on or alongside a CRM product
- Prior solutions engineering or implementation experience
- Light scripting or automation experience using Python, JavaScript, or low-code tools
- Experience designing or implementing API integrations and webhook-based workflows
- Strong opinions on build-versus-buy decisions
- Familiarity with modern GTM and support tooling ecosystems
- Direct experience designing AI agents, conversational workflows, or automated qualification systems
You Are Not a Fit If You Are
- A traditional RevOps or Sales Ops professional without systems depth
- A Salesforce admin looking for a platform migration role
- A marketer who dabbles in operations
- Someone who views GTM systems as a one-time setup rather than an evolving strategy
Why This Role Is Different
- You are building on the product itself; Kizen is the platform you extend
- Your work directly determines how AI and humans work together to drive revenue
- This is a permanent, strategic systems role, not a maintenance function
- You operate with high ownership and low bureaucracy
- What you build internally directly informs what we ship to customers
Who You’ll Work With
- Luke Murphy, VP GTM
- Jamie Signorile, VP Solutions
- Daniel Yount, VP Customer Success
