The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging and professional designs for digital and print materials. This position works closely with marketing, communications, sales, and other teams to develop graphics that effectively communicate the organization's brand, products, services, and messaging.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop creative concepts and visual designs for digital and print projects.
- Create marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, advertisements, presentations, business cards, and promotional materials.
- Design graphics for websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and digital advertisements.
- Create branded content while maintaining consistent visual identity and brand guidelines.
- Develop layouts, typography, color palettes, illustrations, and other visual elements.
- Edit and enhance photographs and other visual assets.
- Resize and adapt designs for multiple platforms and formats.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, sales, and other departments to understand project requirements.
- Translate concepts, written content, and marketing objectives into effective visual designs.
- Prepare files for digital publication and professional printing.
- Review designs for accuracy, quality, alignment, color, typography, and consistency.
- Make revisions based on feedback from managers, clients, or other stakeholders.
- Maintain organized design files, templates, images, and brand assets.
- Research current design trends and industry standards.
- Assist with presentations, trade-show materials, promotional campaigns, and special projects.
- Manage multiple design projects and meet established deadlines.
- Communicate project status and identify potential issues or delays.
- Maintain awareness of accessibility and appropriate design practices.
- Perform other creative and design-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Degree, certificate, or equivalent experience in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills.
- Proficiency with graphic design and image-editing software.
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, composition, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to accept feedback and incorporate revisions.
- Strong creative and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with Canva, Figma, or similar design platforms.
- Experience designing social media content and digital advertisements.
- Experience with branding and corporate identity projects.
- Experience with basic video editing or motion graphics.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or web design is a plus.
- Experience working with printers and preparing files for professional production.
- Photography or photo-editing experience.
