The role / impact

You will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth within the UK market, serving as a key member of the regional leadership team. By tailoring marketing strategies to local opportunities, you will ensure our operating plans are ambitious and effectively aligned across all segments, products, and channels. You will act as a bridge between regional needs and global initiatives, representing the interests of the UK market in formulating broader marketing strategies.

Ownership of the end-to-end regional marketing Go-to-Market plan sits with you, requiring coordination where regional levers, global capabilities, and sales motions intersect. This involves leading a world-class team to deliver on acquisition, retention, and growth commitments, ultimately positioning the business as the leading platform for small businesses. You will provide the leadership necessary to inspire integrated activity that delivers a healthy pipeline and fosters the growth of our small business customers and partners.

The team & how they connect

You will lead a diverse marketing team covering paid advertising, organic social, communications, and brand marketing. Working within a matrixed environment, this group collaborates closely with global functional teams and local sales leadership to drive integrated activity and measurable business outcomes.

Initially, the role may focus on

  • Developing a holistic Go-to-Market strategy to enter new customer segments and bring new products to market.

  • Refining targeted B2B marketing strategies to solidify our position as the leading small business platform.

  • Driving the growth and utilisation of products and services across existing customer bases.

  • Partnering with sales leadership to ensure the region is supported with necessary leads, activity, and tools to succeed.

Where and how you can work

We support a flexible, hybrid working model that allows you to balance time between working from home and collaborating in our offices. We encourage our teams to choose the environment where they do their best work, while ensuring there are regular opportunities to come together for connection, collaboration, and team-based 'boost' days.

Here are some of the things we are looking for

  • You bring deep experience in marketing leadership, particularly within the tech or SaaS sectors, with a history of managing and developing diverse teams.

  • A strong understanding of P&L levers and unit economics is essential, allowing you to connect marketing strategy directly to business objectives.

  • You possess a working knowledge of key marketing channels, including search, social, and affiliate, understanding the levers that influence performance.

  • Experience operating within a matrixed organisation is vital, using your influence to build trust and rapport across cross-functional teams.

  • You demonstrate an analytical, outcome-driven mindset, capable of setting and achieving quantifiable goals for acquisition and retention.

  • Navigating global structures comes naturally to you, balancing regional needs with broader global initiatives.

Apply even if your experience isn't a perfect match! At Xero, we hire based on your skills, passion, and the unique perspective you can bring to enhance our culture and team.
