Essential Responsibilities:
- Vendor accountability: Manage day-to-day interactions with a complex network of relocation service providers, tax consultants, immigration consultants, and other vendors to facilitate seamless GMS processes.
- Compliance accountability: ensure adherence to company policy, legal requirements, immigration regulations, and tax regulation
- Provide consultation and guidance on complex mobility issues by utilizing policies, processes, and data to support sound recommendations, mitigate risk, and provide timely solutions
- Initially work with suppliers to establish a working relationship, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and SLAs are met. Later providing feedback for process improvement and vendor selection
- Partner with internal cross functional teams like HRM, People Leaders, tax, legal, payroll, talent acquisition to gather expertise on all global mobility matters.
- Provide feedback, observations and assist with operational optimization initiatives
- Problem solve with “outside the box” solutions while maintaining compliance with GE Aerospace policies and processes.
- Provide top of the class customer service in managing expectations, anticipating customer inquiries, and proactively “seeing” from the customers’ shoes
- Perform administrative tasks such as system updates, reporting, and documentation verification
- Ability to make timely, executive decisions when faced with urgent employee needs
- Resolve escalations in a timely manner by prioritizing key matters and identifying long term solutions/improvements along the way.
- Support the development and improvement of global mobility policies and processes based on changing market trends.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Several years of experience in Global Mobility, international relocation, European immigration, visa processes and tax. Understanding of labor laws, expatriate policies, and global HR practices.
- Experience exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action.
- Advanced knowledge of key GMS processes and strategies.
- Experience working through queries requiring root cause analysis and providing end-to-end solutions, contribute to improving the processes and help identify systematic blind spots.
- Experience to handle complex, sensitive and/or ambiguous situations, exercising demonstrate critical thinking skills and manage escalations quickly to closure.
- Advanced user of Excel and Workday.
