This role is located in Somerville, MA - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week.

Tulip brings modern technology and AI into manufacturing. Manufacturing accounts for almost 20% of the global economy and one in every seven workers on Earth, yet remains among the least digitized. More than a decade ago, we created the category to close that gap: AI-native software that puts cutting-edge tools directly in the hands of the people on the manufacturing front lines. Because we are human-centered and tech-obsessed, we are building a future of work where human ingenuity is amplified with the latest technology.

In January 2026 we became one of Boston's few new AI unicorns, reaching a $1.3B valuation. We're growing double digits in revenue year over year. The world's best manufacturers run on Tulip - turning inventory 10x faster, releasing gene therapies in hours instead of weeks, and training master craftspeople to forge engagement rings 5x more rapidly. Headquartered in Somerville, MA with offices in Germany, Hungary, Singapore, Japan, and Israel, we've been consistently named a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, a Gartner leader, and one of Built In Boston's "Best Places to Work."

We run the way we build: AI-forward, humanistic, and high ownership. We're looking for builders who are energized by complex problems, rapid cycles, and the unique opportunity to see their impact on a global scale.

About You

You're a full-remit marketing leader who leans into both the art and the science of marketing, and you know how to make the market pay attention. You can shape a brand narrative and read a pipeline dashboard with equal fluency, and you're energized by translating a technical, category-creating product into a story that resonates with frontline operators and the C-suite alike. You lead from the front, build teams that do their best work, and see AI as a fundamental shift in what a marketing organization can be. You collaborate seamlessly with product and commercial teams, and you're drawn to Tulip's mission to bring a humanistic, AI-native approach to the people who actually make things.

What skills do I need?

  • 12-15+ years of marketing experience, including several years leading marketing at the executive level and marketing on a global scale, ideally in enterprise B2B SaaS in the technical, industrial, or hard-tech domains
  • A track record of scaling marketing through high-growth stages (e.g., Series B/C/D/IPO) and building the team, systems, and pipeline to match
  • Demonstrated ownership across the full marketing spectrum, including storytelling, brand, demand generation, product marketing, communications, PR, and events
  • Experience building a category or positioning a company as a market first-mover, with the technical fluency to credibly market a sophisticated product and partner substantively with Product and Engineering
  • Deep conviction about AI's impact on marketing, with a track record of building or transforming a marketing organization to be AI-native, including how the team operates, how demand is generated, and how the brand shows up
  • Fluency with data and the executive presence to partner with the CEO, sales leadership, and the board.

Nice to have

  • Experience creating and growing a one-of-a-kind owned event
  • A strong track record with analyst relations and press, and comfort representing a company externally
  • Experience building a partner ecosystem as a major growth lever

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Category Leadership

  • Own Tulip's marketing strategy end to end, aligning it to company growth targets and defining our position as the leader in AI-native frontline operations
  • Articulate, sharpen, and champion the Tulip narrative, and own how Tulip is perceived by those who shape the market - analysts, press, and industry voices
  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, partnering with the CEO and board on growth strategy, positioning, and market opportunity

Leadership of an AI-Native Marketing Organization

  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing, diverse marketing team from individual contributors to senior leaders, and model Tulip's operating principles as a leader others want to work for
  • Reengineer how the team works, what it can produce, and the pace it operates at, so marketing sets the standard for AI adoption across Tulip
  • Own how Tulip is discovered and chosen as buying shifts to AI-mediated search and agents, ensuring the brand and its content are built to win in that landscape

Growth, Demand & Brand

  • Own marketing's contribution to pipeline and revenue, building a durable, data-driven growth engine in lockstep with Commercial, including a unified account-based approach across sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Treat the partner ecosystem as a strategic growth lever, and set clear goals and metrics that hold the function accountable to measurable business impact
  • Establish Tulip's brand as a compounding strategic asset that earns attention and trust from frontline operators to the C-suite, and set the bar for world-class product marketing - market intelligence, positioning, and launches that move the category

Key Collaborators

  • CEO and Executive team
  • Commercial Leadership (Sales, GTM Strategy & Operations, Customer Teams, Ecosystem)
  • Product Leadership (Web, Design, Product Management)
