About us

Chloris Geospatial is a venture-backed technology company operating at the intersection of space-tech and nature-tech. Our mission is to accelerate the global transition to a net-zero and nature-positive economy with the most reliable, trustworthy and transparent natural capital data. Today we use industry-leading remote sensing technology to measure the amount of forest carbon stored in terrestrial ecosystems. Our state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms fuse data from multiple Earth observation satellites to provide accurate and scalable measurements of the carbon stocks and change in woody vegetation (forests, shrubs, and mangroves), anywhere in the world. Our team has deep expertise in remote-sensing, AI & ML, ecology and sustainable business.

About you

Chloris is always looking for experienced team members who possess skills, experience and expertise that reflect the multiple areas of our work. The more diverse your experience is, combining two or more of any of the areas of our work -- from forest carbon, biodiversity, remote sensing, data fusion, machine learning, software engineering, to carbon project development and verification, GHG and Scope 3 accounting, and nature-based solutions -- we want to hear from you!

Location

Chloris is a hybrid-first company with a transatlantic team based throughout Western Europe and the United States, concentrated near our Boston headquarters. Most roles are global in nature, and depending on the team members that they work with, we may consider any candidate who can work between the U.S. and Central Europeans timezone. We are committed to providing a hybrid work environment that allows for in-person and on-site collaboration at all-hands and team-specific meetings, in addition to allowing for the benefits that come from flexible, work-from-anywhere arrangements.

Our values

At Chloris, our team values integrity, accountability, empathy, and innovation.

  • Integrity: We stand behind the quality of our data and our individual contributions to our mission.
  • Accountability: We hold ourselves, and each other, accountable to high standards of work and to our company’s commitment to a net-zero and a nature-positive economy.
  • Empathy: We recognize and seek deeper understanding of our colleagues, our partners, and those whose lives are touched by our work.
  • Innovation: We are not satisfied with the status-quo. We are inquisitive and questioning. We are solving complex, global problems with new ideas and fresh energy.

Diversity

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer that values diversity. We are excited to build a diverse and inclusive team and we encourage inquiries from talented and motivated applicants from all races, religions, colors, nationalities, genders, sexual orientations, ages, and disability groups. Come join us and help us build the future!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
