POSITION OVERVIEW:
The People & Culture team is seeking a highly organized, self-motivated and energetic receptionist/switchboard operator to join our current game day switchboard team. This position will work an even number of home games and concerts as the other team members. Switchboard Operators are tasked with greeting visitors and answering phones in a positive and friendly manner.
 
The hourly rate for this role is $16.50.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer incoming calls and provide information/answers to callers’ questions as appropriate; otherwise direct callers to specific departments in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Greet visitors at the reception desk in a warm and friendly manner and contact employees to meet visitors in the reception area.
  • Work with Office Administration team to fill the beverage refrigerator and snack containers in 3rd Floor kitchen at the start of each shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

CHARACTERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High-energy personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Hour breakdown below:
  • o   Weekday night games and concerts: 5pm – end of game/concert
  • o   Weekend games: 3 hours prior to first pitch
  • o   Weekend concerts: 9am – 4pm OR 4pm – end of concert (need coverage for both)
  • o   Weekday day games: typically not scheduled to work
