Overview: We are seeking a Freelance Ads Strategist who is eager to be the architect of multi-channel acquisition strategies that drive clicks but, more importantly, fund humanitarian aid and protect democratic institutions. In this role, you will drive the innovation that crushes our clients’ direct response and other acquisition goals. You will work alongside teams of writers, designers, and analysts to bridge the gap between creative storytelling and hard data.
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Designing and deploying sophisticated acquisition strategies across Meta, Google, Programmatic, and emerging platforms.
- Assisting account leads in communicating campaign results and performance insights to clients.
- Supporting the launch and optimization of advertising campaigns to help achieve client acquisition goals.
- Monitoring and reporting on performance data to assist in identifying trends and ensuring alignment with client missions.
- Navigating the high-stakes, rapid-response world of news-cycle marketing, where your ability to pivot a strategy in real-time can result in millions of dollars raised for a cause in a single day.
Must-have qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience managing complex paid media portfolios in a high-growth startup, a major agency, or a political organization.
- A Product Manager approach to ads – you care as much about the post-click experience and conversion rate optimization as you do about the CPM.
- Excellent quantitative reasoning skills, proficiency using Excel, and ability to apply data to strategic decisions;
- Extensive experience with the backend of ad managers.
- Obsession with optimization: At MissionWired, finding the extra 5% of efficiency could mean an extra $100k for a client’s mission.
- You are deeply committed to progressive causes and want to spend your time and effort contributing to the causes and missions of our clients.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
- Experience with nonprofit and/or political fundraising.
Pay rate for this role is $75 per hour.
We are looking for candidates with availability of up to 20 hours per week through the duration of the contract.
If you feel you can do the job and are excited about this opportunity but are not sure if you meet all the qualifications, consider applying anyway. We’d love to hear from you!
