Our products are used to prototype and produce a wide array of innovations—from more comfortable dental aligners to custom-fit footwear and mission-critical components for manufacturing lines. We're a team of passionate, problem-solving individuals building powerful and accessible 3D printing tools, and we're looking for a strategic business thinker to help us manage our financial planning process.

The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious FP&A Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in Formlabs’ financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, partnering with senior leaders across the company to deliver insights that drive strategy and execution. You will help scale our finance function by building robust models, implementing efficient processes, and providing actionable analysis that supports both near-term decisions and long-term growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial future of a rapidly growing hardware and software business at the forefront of digital manufacturing.

You Will:

  • Support the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
  • Partner with senior leadership across functions (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, etc.) to deliver financial insights and ensure accountability to plan
  • Build and maintain financial models that support scenario planning, headcount/resource allocation, and business case development
  • Prepare board-level and executive-level reporting, distilling complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong narratives around business performance
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and the use of tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, NetSuite, SQL, BI dashboards) to scale the FP&A function
  • Mentor and develop analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and analytical excellence

You Have:

  • 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, or corporate finance
  • Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to handle large, complex datasets
  • Deep understanding of Accounting rules and processes
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate financial results into clear business insights
  • Proficiency with financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Applied Sciences, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in a hardware, manufacturing, or recurring revenue business.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools for deeper financial insights.
  • Experience implementing and scaling financial systems or reporting frameworks.
  • Passion for technology, 3D printing, and enabling innovation.

Our Benefits & Perks:

  • Robust equity program to build future wealth through RSUs
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • Low cost fund options in our 401K and access to advisors
  • Generous paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks)
  • Tenure-based paid Sabbatical Leave (up to 6 weeks)
  • Flexible Out of Office Plan – Take time when you need it
  • Ample on-site parking & pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Healthy on-site lunches, snacks, beverages, & treats
  • Regular sponsored professional development opportunities
  • Many opt-in culture events across our diverse community
  • And of course… unlimited 3D prints

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
