FP&A GROUP

The Financial Planning and Analysis group helps to develop strategic and operations plans for all of the business units (i.e. advisors to the funds) and senior executives.  This includes budgets, forecasts, multi-year financial plans, a variety of ad hoc requests, and the maintenance of a management basis P&L.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Participation in the following initiatives:

  • Compile analysis around the annual budget process and related monitoring exercises throughout the year (i.e. quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting to the business units, etc.)

  • Contribute to the development of the organization’s long-term multi-year strategic plan; incorporating real-time and planned changes to the business

  • Liaise with compensation team and corporate finance/accounting team on a daily basis

  • Record journal entries to adjust the Company’s tax basis P&L to the management basis as needed

  • Assist with frequent ad hoc projects and analysis

  • This role will focus on supporting our capital markets business units, primarily Bain Capital Credit and Bain Capital Insurance, and will work with those business unit finance teams frequently

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years of experience in an accounting (public or private) or FP&A environment, with at least one year as a manager

  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with the highest attention to detail

  • Creative problem solving ability and sound judgment – ability to use own initiative and take responsibility for decisions

  • Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with all levels

  • Capable of working fairly independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong excel skills

  • Experience with Anaplan, PowerBI, and/or Tableau a plus

  • Team player

DESIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
