Tomorrow.io’s Accounting and Finance Team is responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial results and forecasts, supporting all teams globally to make informed business decisions. We are a lean team that supports all Company departments and business units, using quantitative analysis to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for better business performance.
We’re looking for a highly diligent and ambitious FP&A Analyst who sets a standard of excellence and is eager to learn and contribute meaningfully in a financial operating role at a technology startup.
As Tomorrow.io’s FP&A Analyst, you will partner with the Finance Manager as a two-person FP&A team under the CFO. Given the lean nature of the team, you will have ownership over several workstreams and be in a high-impact role working directly with our Executive Team.
Please note: this role operates in a hybrid capacity, with the team collaborating onsite in our Boston office at least 2 times per week.
What you’ll bring…
- 2+ years of experience in a heavy financial modeling role
- Investment banking background preferred; FP&A, valuation, or private equity experience is a plus
- Expert-level Excel skills
- AI-First Mindset: Enthusiasm for GenAI and ability to self-disrupt with new technologies and processes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality, accurate work
- Ability to work independently and own complex projects end-to-end
- Confidence presenting analysis and insights to senior leadership
- Understanding of US GAAP and interest in accounting fundamentals
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams
What you’ll do…
- Build and maintain the Company’s financial model alongside the Finance Manager
- Set the annual operating financial plan and budgets
- Conduct scenario analyses on the financial model and present them to management
- Roll-forward actuals and report on prior period financial performance to management, board of directors, investors, and relevant financial institutions
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of the Company's books & records, gaining a deep understanding of the chart of accounts and performing monthly flux and forecast vs. actuals analyses
- Perform ad hoc financial modeling exercises, ranging from hour-long to multiple week-long workstreams
- Ensure compliance with budget controls while improving budget vs. actual reporting and enhance visibility into key financial metrics through dashboards, trend analysis, and scalable reporting systems
- Support financing activities, including investor financial due diligence and strategic positioning
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance or related quantitative discipline
- 2+ years of experience in heavy financial modeling role
- Strong preference for prior investment banking experience
- Additional preference for prior FP&A, valuation, or private equity experience on top of investment banking experience
- Microsoft Excel expert
- Ability to work independently and prioritize appropriately across simultaneous complex projects
- Understanding of US GAAP with strong interest in accounting
- Strong partnership experience with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Combination of hands-on approach and keen attention to detail with sharp critical thinking and a strong sense of intellectual curiosity
- Adopted AI into current workstreams with strong appetite for further use
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
- Experience in software, hardware manufacturing, and start-up environments

Anticipated salary range for this role is $115,000-$140,000 subject to local market and candidates skills and experience plus a variable component.
