About the company
Our client is a fast-growing software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take full ownership of a product area from planning through release, working across frontend and backend code on conversational automation features. Shape what gets built by working directly with users alongside a small, co-located team.
What you'll do
- Own a core product domain from roadmap through production delivery.
- Decide what to build by speaking with users, distilling their feedback and releasing features without a dedicated product manager.
- Build and tune conversational automation across voice, text and email channels, with attention to low latency and persistent conversation context.
- Set the architecture and quality standards for non-deterministic systems, including evaluation, versioning, safeguards and monitoring for drift.
- Work across web frontends, backend services and Python-based real-time services, releasing to production frequently.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 3 to 8 years of engineering experience, including launching a brand-new product from scratch in an early-stage company, as a founder, or inside an innovation group at a large technology firm.
- Ability to make sound product calls independently and comfort talking with users.
- Depth in at least one area: production conversational agents, long-running agent state or memory, multi-sided or marketplace products, or agent evaluation and safeguards.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, including Node.js and React.
- Hands-on experience building real products with large language model APIs or agent SDKs, beyond tutorials or thin wrappers.
- Python experience for real-time audio pipelines or evaluation tooling.
- Strong product sense and comfort with ambiguity.
Bonus points
- Prior experience founding a company that gained real traction.
- Computer science degree from a strong program, especially for candidates with 3 to 4 years of experience.
