Why Better. Why Now.

Better is rebuilding home finance as an AI-native platform—turning a process that once took weeks into something that can happen in seconds.

With over $110B in loans funded and $1.2B+ raised, we operate at real scale while rethinking how homeownership works from the ground up.

The category hasn’t caught up yet. That’s the opportunity.

Better Mortgage is rebuilding home finance around technology, speed, transparency, and a dramatically better customer experience. Better Wholesale is bringing that same ambition to the mortgage broker community, and we are looking for an exceptional Account Executive to help us build the channel from the ground up.

We are launching with a differentiated HELOC designed to give mortgage brokers a powerful new solution for their clients. The product combines a broad credit box, compelling broker economics, and a modern experience intended to make it an attractive alternative to many of the HELOC and home-equity products available today.

The market is already responding. Before launch, brokerages representing more than $10 billion in annual mortgage production committed to being among the first to access the product and offer it to their clients.

That makes this a very different kind of wholesale opportunity.

You will not begin with an empty territory and a list of cold prospects. You will step into meaningful existing demand and help turn that demand into activated broker partners, outstanding experiences, funded loans, and long-term relationships. You will also have a voice in shaping how Better Wholesale onboards, trains, supports, and grows with the broker community.

You will do it with the stability of guaranteed income, the security of a full-time W-2 position with a comprehensive benefits package, the flexibility to work remotely, and the uncapped upside of a production-based compensation plan.

This is an opportunity to do more than inherit a book of business. It is an opportunity to help build one.

The Opportunity

As a founding Wholesale Account Executive, you will be one of the primary faces of Better Wholesale to our earliest broker partners. You will develop relationships from onboarding through funding, helping brokers understand the product, confidently identify opportunities within their client base, navigate scenarios, submit high-quality files, and deliver a great experience to their clients.

Initially, the role will be weighted more toward broker activation, education, account growth, and execution than traditional cold prospecting. Over time, as Better Wholesale expands into non-QM and other lending products, the position is expected to evolve into broader business development and channel-building responsibilities.

For the right person, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to earn consideration for future wholesale leadership, as the channel expands and performance warrants.

What you will do

· Onboard and activate an initial group of high-potential mortgage brokerages that are already interested in the Better Wholesale HELOC.

· Build trusted, durable relationships with brokerage owners, leaders, loan originators, processors, and other key stakeholders.

· Train broker partners on Better Wholesale technology, product guidelines, pricing, eligibility, submission requirements, and best practices.

· Help brokers identify HELOC opportunities within their existing client databases and translate product interest into consistent submissions and funded volume.

· Serve as the primary relationship owner and advocate for assigned broker accounts throughout the loan lifecycle.

· Provide responsive scenario guidance and coordinate with operations, underwriting, product, and leadership to solve issues and manage escalations.

· Set clear expectations, communicate proactively, and create a high-touch broker experience that earns trust and repeat business.

· Own account-level production goals, pipeline visibility, pull-through, activation, and funded-volume forecasting.

· Track broker activity and relationship health through the company CRM and operating systems.

· Gather structured broker feedback and bring it back to product, technology, operations, pricing, and leadership so we can continuously improve the experience.

· Help create the onboarding materials, training programs, service standards, playbooks, and account-management processes that will support the future growth of Better Wholesale.

· Represent Better Wholesale in broker meetings, webinars, trainings, industry events, and other market-facing opportunities.

· As the channel evolves, identify and develop new broker relationships and help introduce additional wholesale products, including potential non-QM and traditional mortgage offerings.

What success looks like

In your first year, success will mean:

· Converting strong pre-launch interest into activated, engaged, producing broker partners.

· Building a meaningful and growing funded pipeline from assigned accounts.

· Becoming a trusted, highly responsive resource who brokers want to call first.

· Delivering a smooth onboarding and training experience that enables brokers to use the product confidently.

· Maintaining strong submission quality, pull-through, communication, and partner satisfaction.

· Turning broker feedback into actionable improvements across product, technology, guidelines, pricing, and operations.

· Helping establish a repeatable playbook that allows Better Wholesale to scale.

· Demonstrating the leadership, ownership, judgment, and performance required to take on broader responsibility as the channel grows.

What you bring

· Prior mortgage industry experience is required

· A demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow relationships

· Working knowledge of wholesale lending, mortgage operations, pricing, underwriting guidelines, and the loan lifecycle.

· The ability to understand complex scenarios, explain guidelines clearly, and help partners determine the right next step without overpromising.

· Strong presentation and training skills, with the confidence to lead one-on-one conversations, group meetings, webinars, and product demonstrations.

· Exceptional follow-through, organization, urgency, and attention to detail.

· The ability to manage a large number of relationships and active loans while making each partner feel prioritized.

· A consultative, service-oriented sales style grounded in curiosity, credibility, and problem-solving.

· Comfort working in a fast-moving launch environment where processes will evolve and your input will help shape them.

· Proficiency with CRM, loan-origination, pricing, and modern communication tools.

· A growth mindset, high personal accountability, humility, resilience, and a genuine desire to build something meaningful with a team.

Who will thrive here

This opportunity is built for someone who is both a producer and a builder.

You know how to create momentum, but you do not confuse sales with pressure. You earn trust by being knowledgeable, responsive, direct, and genuinely useful. You care about the broker's business, the client's experience, and the quality of every loan that carries your name.

You are energized by the idea of joining early, helping create the playbook, and earning greater responsibility through performance. You do not need every process to be fully formed before you act; you help make the process better.

Most importantly, you want your next role to be more than another territory. You want the opportunity to help shape a new wholesale platform and grow with it.
