About Us

Sitch is a new kind of matchmaking platform, built around the idea that online dating doesn't have to suck and that AI, used thoughtfully, can actually make it better. We launched in NYC in 2024 and are backed by M13, a16z's Speedrun, Jeremy Liew (who wrote Snapchat's first check) and many others. We're expanding to new cities and building a small, high-performance team to help us scale to take on Match Group as the number one way to find your person

Job Overview

As a Founding Designer, you'll craft thoughtful, delightful experiences that make AI matchmaking feel human. Based in our New York office, you'll work directly with our founding team (Dini - GSB '22, 2x founder, McKinsey and Chad - SVP Uniswap, Sr Director Snap) to shape both our product experience and brand identity during this critical growth phase. This role combines strong UX thinking with beautiful, memorable visual design to create intuitive, engaging experiences for our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end design process from research to polished UI for new features and improvements

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for new features and improvements

  • Conduct user interviews and research to deeply understand our users' dating journeys, pain points, and desires

  • Create intuitive, engaging user flows that make matchmaking feel personal and magical

  • Help evolve and refine our brand identity across all touchpoints - app, digital spaces and out of home ads and experiences

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented with high fidelity

  • Design and maintain a cohesive design system that scales across our product suite

  • Contribute to product strategy discussions with data-informed design insights

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in product design (consumer apps preferred)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and beautiful, memorable visual design

  • Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into design solutions

  • Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite

  • Understanding of mobile design principles and patterns

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly articulate design decisions

  • Experience collaborating with engineers to implement designs

  • Bonus points if you love love, and are bullish on AI making the world a better place!

Salary & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation and equity so that as an early hire, you'll have a front-row seat to the upside

  • Full health coverage - We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus an FSA

  • Flexible, founder-backed PTO - We have an unlimited PTO policy, and we actually encourage people to use it

  • NYC-based with flexibility - We do 4 days in the office per week (we're currently scoping space in Manhattan), but we keep things flexible and trust people to manage their own time with 4 weeks of work remotely

  • Build the company with us - You'll help define not just our product design approach, but also our culture, rituals, and how we scale

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
