As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) at Growth Signals, you'll work directly with enterprise customers to extend and customize our GenAI platform for their specific needs. You'll be their primary engineering partner, using your full-stack development skills to build solutions that integrate seamlessly with their systems and workflows.
In this role, you'll develop custom user interfaces and LLM-oriented workflows that unlock new capabilities—helping customers get insights faster and turn their data into actionable strategies using our platform.
Core ResponsibilitiesFull-Stack Platform Extension & Delivery:
- Lead development of custom, responsive components using React/TypeScript, interfacing with the Growth Signals platform endpoints.
- Design and build highly-secure API endpoints and services using Python/Pyright, Flask, and Pydantic to orchestrate LLMs, agents, and MCP tools.
- Ensure deployed software meets enterprise-grade standards for scalability, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with end-users to deliver prototypes and MVPs in days, reflecting a strong bias for action in a seed-stage environment.
Customer Engagement & Strategic Impact:
- Serve as a technical consultant, translating ambiguous business challenges into actionable, incremental, and deployable software requirements.
- Own the complete technical lifecycle of customer engagements, from requirements gathering to final deployment of custom solutions.
- Advocate for customers by relaying product insights and feature requests to the engineering team, directly influencing the Growth Signals product roadmap.
Technical Mastery (Full Stack):
- 3+ years of experience in a high-impact software engineering role, with a strong portfolio of end-to-end project delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in both client-side development (JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, React or equivalent) and server-side development (Python, Node.js, or Go).
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, API design, and service design
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and production deployment practices
- Experience with generative AI practices, such as MCP and prompt engineering is preferred
Working style:
- Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable in an early-stage startup environment—you're self-directed and thrive with ambiguity
- Willing to travel up to 50% for on-site customer work
- Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to business audiences
