You will drive the execution of data governance across large-scale initiatives. This role sits at the center of improving data quality, strengthening controls, and enabling teams to manage data effectively. You will influence outcomes by ensuring data is governed with consistency and accountability.
As a Data Quality Governance Lead in the Firmwide Data Governance Function, you will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive data governance frameworks that ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance across the organization. Your role is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of data management practices, influencing operational and business decisions that extend beyond immediate outcomes. You will leverage your deep expertise in regulatory compliance and data quality to mitigate risks and safeguard our reputation. By fostering collaboration across diverse teams, you will drive the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions, ensuring our data assets are responsibly managed and aligned with business goals. Your leadership will empower teams to navigate complex data challenges, enhancing our operational efficiency and supporting sustainable growth. 
Job responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce data quality governance policies and standards to ensure compliance with data quality standards
  • Lead the design and implementation of data quality controls and data contracts for firm's most important data
  • Establish governance strategy, operating model, and ownership
  • Oversee adoption and implementation of data quality controls and data contracts for critical data elements along the lineage
  • Partner with CDOs, Data Owners, product, and technology teams to implement and enhance tooling solutions
  • Lead governance forums and cross-functional engagement to data quality and data contracts implementation across the bank for scoped activities.
  • Resolve complex data issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Drive the adoption of change management initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices
  • Build knowledge of how business areas, architecture, applications, data platforms, and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8 years of experience or equivalent expertise in designing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies
  • Experience in data, analytics, or product roles supporting data governance outcomes
  • Hands on experience in driving data quality transformation programs including data quality controls, data contracts, and lineage
  • Experience implementing enterprise Data Quality controls and monitoring frameworks
  • Experience with industry tools like Collibra, Snowflake, Databricks
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
