Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Operations Analyst to support daily reconciliations and data analysis within a Middle Office environment. This role is well-suited for someone with an operations background who is comfortable executing repeatable processes, working with data, and supporting senior team members.
Requirement:
- 1-3 years of experience in operations, middle office, reconciliations, or similar support roles
- Exposure to asset management, banking operations, or financial services environments
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Strong data analysis skills, experience working with high-volume operational data with the ability to work across diverse datasets and translate varied inputs into standardized outputs
- Ability to synthesize key concepts and findings into clear, well-organized summaries
Nice to Have:
- Experience with DUCO or other reconciliation platforms
- Experience with Bloomberg
- Experience with financial concepts like portfolio accounting and valuation, security master, corporate actions
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and ad-hoc operational reconciliations between internal systems and external data sources
- Pull and validate data from custodians, vendors, and external websites
- Update and maintain Excel-based reconciliation and control files
- Identify, investigate, and document breaks and exceptions, escalating as appropriate
- Support start-of-day and end-of-day operational control processes
- Assist senior operations staff with reporting, data clean-up, and process support
