Position Summary:
We seek an enthusiastic Finance professional with excellent analysis and interpersonal skills to support the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Finance team as a Financial Analyst passionate about financial reporting and business performance analysis.
The ideal candidate is a high potential, natural relationship builder and problem solver with a penchant for process efficiency and optimization, as consistently shown through a minimum of 2 years of dynamic finance/accounting experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the functional and Finance leaders with analytics, reporting and forecasting on key components of revenue, operating spend and working capital metrics. Facilitate the daily, weekly and monthly reporting of financial metrics and scorecards
- Responsible for planning, forecasting, and accruals pertaining to Group Office operating expense budget. Conduct variance analyses, estimate risks and opportunities, and support execution to meet financial results.
- Analyze transactional / operational data, identify anomalies, and make accruals / reversals to ensure accurate reporting.
- Be a business partner to Group Functional leaders (R&D, Legal, Controllership, FP&A Systems, Automation, Services Connected).
- Work with business partners across the company to drive improved performance and analytical insights.
- Provide recommendations to improve the current reporting tools. Work on automation and efficiency initiatives related to reporting and data harmonization.
- Assist with the preparation of business presentations, including Monthly Business Review (MBR), long range planning (STRAP), and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) schedules
- Provide ad hoc analyses to support AIG senior leadership on high visibility requests, projects
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate and articulate business impact in financial terms

- Technical ability to effectively navigate interplay between all financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management/CMR) and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
