The Financial Analyst II will be responsible for the forecasting function of the $50+ billion in corporate cash flows and for forecasting the corporate balance sheet as well as identifying, analyzing and explaining the variances to forecast and the corresponding impacts to liquidity. In addition, this position will assume the responsibility of developing the annual $12.0 million budget for the Treasury Department.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for the development and analysis of the $50+ billion cash flow forecast and perform variance analysis.
Responsible for the production of the daily cash flow forecast.
Responsible for the completion of the three year forecast of capital spending, cash flows and balance sheets relative to the annual financial plan, quarterly reforecasts and the annual Standard & Poor's credit rating review.
Responsible for the development and completion of the annual $12.0 million Treasury Department Budget.
Responsible for identifying and reconciling the differences between GAAP financial statements and Statutory financial statements for forecasting purposes.
Responsible for the drill down of the balance sheet results for the purpose of improving the accuracy of the balance sheet forecast.
Perform ad hoc analysis for potential corporate financing opportunities
Challenges/Problem Solving:
The company’s financial performance depends heavily on investment income achieved within the corporate portfolio. As a member of the Treasury team, this position with work with other members in the department to ensure that the investment income goals (achieving approximately $150 million+ annually) are met.
With over $50+ billion in cash flows, it is important to analyze and manage these cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity
With respect to setting the $12.0 million Treasury Division Budget, the challenge is to balance resources requirements with budgetary constraints
Decision Making Authority:
In this role, you will have the authority to develop creative solutions when creating the $12.0million Treasury Division Budget.
In this role, you will work with the Treasury team to determine how best to maintain corporate liquidity either through the long-term portfolio or through the lines of credit available

Education/Relevant Experience:
1-3 years experience in forecasting, financial analysis, budgeting, capital planning and cash management is required.
Large corporate experience preferred (revenues of 8+ billion) and insurance company is a plus.
Strong knowledge of managed care and health insurance principles is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
Certifications such as Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Certification , Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) or Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) are a plus.
