Section 1: Position Summary

This position will be responsible for the preparation of financial analysis.  The individual will prepare recurring monthly reporting and support various finance projects and analyses.  The projects include, but are not limited to, compilation and reporting of the annual budget and profitability studies for various business segments.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

  • Research and document expense variances for monthly reporting.
  • Assist in calculations and expense review for the Annual Operating Budget.
  • Assist in preparation of  board package reports for the annual Operating Budget
  • Assist with business profitability studies. 
  • Perform financial modeling and analysis as required.
  • Prepare full year forecast of expense for various departments.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned

Section 3:  Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance
  • Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP, Oracle, Workday)
  • Cognos TM1 reporting experiences a plus.
  • Meet deadlines as set by management.
  • Able to successfully balance multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required, Masters and/or CPA preferred.
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial statements
