Support private equity value creation and portfolio performance programs through financial analysis, modeling, reconciliations, business case development, benefits realization tracking, and executive reporting to quantify and capture EBITDA improvements.
CFGI is seeking a Consultant to support private equity value creation initiatives, portfolio company performance improvement programs, and internal strategic initiatives.
This role will focus on financial analysis, value capture tracking, financial reconciliation, business case development, and performance reporting. The Consultant will work closely with CFGI leadership to quantify opportunities, validate savings, track EBITDA impact, and support delivery of measurable financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support development of value creation playbooks and financial performance frameworks.
- Conduct financial, operational, and business performance analyses.
- Track realized versus projected savings and EBITDA impact across initiatives.
- Perform financial reconciliations, variance analyses, and benefits realization tracking.
- Develop business cases and support opportunity sizing efforts.
- Build financial models to assess cost reduction, margin improvement, revenue growth, and working capital opportunities.
- Support monthly performance reporting and executive-level financial updates.
- Partner with initiative owners to validate assumptions, financial impact, and value capture.
- Prepare board-ready financial analyses, dashboards, and presentations.
- Support strategic finance initiatives and special projects across the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Two to five years of experience in FP&A, transaction advisory, strategic finance, consulting, accounting, business analytics, or operational finance at a MBB firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or Big4 is preferred.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and financial rigor.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, FP&A, valuation, consulting, or private equity-backed environments.
- Experience supporting value creation, benefits realization, or EBITDA improvement programs.
- Experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
- Exposure to private equity clients or portfolio companies.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar tools.
- CPA, CFA, or progress toward certification.
