As the first finance hire, you'll establish the finance organization, manage accounting, lead budgeting, and support Series A fundraising while building a financial infrastructure for growth.
The summary above was generated by AI

At Coral AI (trycoral.ai), we’re engineering the intelligent operating system for a more efficient healthcare industry. As recently featured in Forbes, we are tackling a massive administrative bottleneck, a $450 billion crisis that consumes 25% of U.S. healthcare spending and forces patients to wait weeks for life-saving treatment.

Our agentic automation platform is uniquely designed for healthcare’s "messy" reality, utilising sophisticated AI to digest handwritten faxes, complex medical records, and blurry scans with an unprecedented 98.7% accuracy. Backed by Lightspeed and founded by a team with deep roots in AI and robotics, we’ve scaled to multi-million dollars in ARR in less than six months by delivering immediate, Day-1 value to medical equipment providers, clinics and specialty pharmacies.

By slashing patient wait times from five days to under three hours, we’re doing more than just automating paperwork; we’re returning time to clinicians and ensuring that care is never delayed by a document. If you’re a high-ownership builder who wants to solve mission-critical problems in OCR and NLP while making a tangible impact on human lives, come help us build the infrastructure that lets healthcare scale

The Role

You'll be our first finance hire, establishing the entire finance organization. Right now

we're using an outsourced bookkeeper - you'll eventually transition us to a proper in-

house finance function that can support our growth trajectory from seed to Series A and

beyond.

This means being hands-on with the books today while building the strategic finance

infrastructure for tomorrow. You'll close the month-end one week, build commission

models for new hires the next, and prep investor materials the week after.

What You'll Do

• Own all accounting: PnL, BS, AP/AR, payroll, taxes, revenue ops, month-end

close

• Lead annual planning, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis

• Manage cap table, equity compensation, and investor reporting

• Support our Series A fundraising process

• Build financial models and forecasts as we expand into new healthcare verticals

• Eventually hire and build your team as we scale

What We Need

Must-haves:

• 5-8 years finance experience with at least 2-3 years in US SaaS companies

• Built a finance function at a startup (you've done the 0→1 journey)• Hands-on accounting skills but strategic mindset - can close books and build

Board decks

• Strong financial modelling for SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, CAC, LTV)

• US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition experience required

• Comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hats

Nice-to-haves:

• Healthcare or health tech experience

• Fundraising support (seed through Series B)

• Experience with Carta, QuickBooks/NetSuite, Rippling/Gusto

You'll report directly to the founders. Competitive salary + meaningful early-stage

equity. Based in Bangalore/NY

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
