Finance Administrative Internship

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.

We are deeply committed to prioritizing the leadership of those who bear the brunt of corporate abuse: women, people of color, low-income people, people in the Global South, and LGBTQ folks around the world, therefore potential candidates holding these identities are strongly encouraged to apply for our internship program.

In the Finance Internship, you will intern alongside our dynamic, passionate finance and operations teams and learn and hone skills such as processing donations, organizational budgeting, non-profit administrative support, and so much more! Interns will come away from the experience ready to take action and apply these skills to their next professional role.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Accounting-Finance Unit on income processing and related account receivable issues;

  • Assist the Accounting-Finance Unit with weekly preparation of vendor payments;

  • Support office administrative responsibilities such as opening and sorting mail;

  • Additional responsibilities with ad-hoc projects based on Accounting-Finance and Operations opportunities as time allows;

  • Participate in organization-wide meetings and campaign pushes as they occur;

  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with our Development and Membership teams.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights, the environment, and public health;

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform processes with a high level of accuracy;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Online a plus;

  • Ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines;

  • Some experience in accounting, handling money or budgeting (either through coursework or real-lived experience i.e. cashier work);

  • Eagerness to learn and self-starter in achieving your goals.
