About Stainless

Stainless is a fast-growing tech startup building the future of APIs. Our customers include industry leaders like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cloudflare.

We have raised over $35 million from a16z, Sequoia, and founders/C-levels from Stripe, Datadog, Segment, Linear, and more.

We are headquartered in NYC, just west of SoHo, and are a team of ~60 strong expecting to double in the next ~9 to 12 months.

About the role

To power Stainless in its next phase of growth, we’re looking for a founding Field Marketing Lead to help turn targeted programs and events into real pipeline, closed revenue, and be a great partner to our sales team. You'll work closely with our sales teams to create memorable experiences—from intimate executive dinners to conference activations—that demonstrate Stainless’s value and position Stainless as the API partner of choice for enterprise companies.

You'll collaborate across GTM to ensure every event drives meaningful business outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, brings creativity to event strategy, and obsesses over the details that transform good events into exceptional ones.

What you'll do
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive field marketing strategy, including executive dinners, customer panels, networking receptions, and conferences.

  • Partner closely with GTM leadership to identify target accounts, align on event goals, and ensure programming resonates with technical founders, engineering leaders, and executives at enterprise companies.

  • Manage end-to-end event execution including venue selection, vendor management, invitation strategy, registration tracking, and on-site logistics.

  • Collaborate with SDRs to drive event attendance and ensure timely post-event follow-up that converts attendees into qualified pipeline.

  • Build and maintain field marketing dashboards that track leading indicators (meetings booked, attendance rates) and lagging metrics (pipeline generated, closed-won revenue).

  • Create compelling event content, promotional copy, and post-event communications that reinforce Stainless’ brand and value proposition.

  • Manage field marketing budget, optimizing spend based on performance data.

Who you are
  • 4+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, or demand generation, preferably in B2B enterprise software

  • Have a proven track record of planning and executing events that drive measurable pipeline impact

  • Are highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and can influence without authority across GTM and executive teams.

  • Are data-driven and comfortable setting goals, tracking performance, and iterating based on results

  • Communicate clearly and can craft compelling event narratives that resonate with technical and executive audiences

  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can shift priorities quickly when business needs change

  • Have experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and marketing automation tools

Benefits
  • We offer competitive salary and generous equity grants.

  • Great healthcare coverage options (e.g., fully covered platinum plans).

  • Paid commuter benefits & similar.

  • Paid team lunch/meals during workdays.

  • Flexible PTO plus 3 weeks of company-wide vacation a year (2 weeks in December, 1 week at the end of the summer).

  • Flexible WFH and 1 month fully remote per year ("remote February").
