Dandy is transforming the massive and antiquated dental industry—an industry worth over $200B. Backed by some of the world’s leading venture capital firms, we’re on an ambitious mission to simplify and modernize every function of the dental practice through technology. As we expand our reach globally, Dandy is building the operating system for dental offices around the world—empowering clinicians and their teams with technology, innovation, and world-class support to achieve more for their practices, their people, and their patients.
About the Role
As part of our federal expansion, Dandy is seeking a Federal Strategic Account Executive to lead sales efforts within the U.S. federal government, with a primary focus on healthcare-related agencies such as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and other federal health systems. The ideal candidate has experience managing large, strategic sales cycles within the federal government and a demonstrated ability to navigate complex procurement paths, contracting processes, and multi-stakeholder sales environments.
This is a foundational role in shaping our public sector strategy and will play a critical part in bringing modern dental technology to federal healthcare systems—improving outcomes for veterans, active-duty service members, and patients served by public institutions.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end sales processes for large federal agencies, particularly within the healthcare domain (e.g., VA, DHA, HHS).
Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy targeting key decision-makers, contracting officers, and clinical stakeholders in federal healthcare organizations.
Navigate federal procurement processes (including RFPs, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedules) to unlock large-scale adoption of Dandy solutions.
Cultivate strategic relationships with public sector partners, including systems integrators, government contractors, and channel resellers.
Collaborate closely with Sales Leadership, Legal, and Finance to structure compliant and competitive proposals.
Partner with our Inside AE and Business Development Representative teams to pursue opportunities via a hybrid “top-down/bottom-up” strategy.
Serve as a key contributor in defining Dandy’s federal sales playbook, capturing and applying best practices across deals.
Represent Dandy at relevant industry events, government expos, and partner briefings to elevate brand awareness in the public sector.
What We're Looking For
8–10+ years of strategic-level enterprise sales experience, with a proven track record of selling into the federal government.
Deep experience selling into federal healthcare organizations—particularly the VA, DHA, or other government-run healthcare systems.
Demonstrated success navigating long and complex federal procurement cycles and frameworks.
Experience working with or selling healthcare or medical technology; dental tech experience or deep dental domain knowledge is a major plus.
Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, compliance requirements, and contracting vehicles.
Track record of quota attainment and driving multimillion-dollar deals in the public sector.
Expertise using Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms to manage complex sales pipelines.
Clear, persuasive communicator with strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and embraces ambiguity.
Bonus Points For
Prior experience selling into the VA dental program, Veterans Health Administration, or similar federal agencies.
Any kind of operational or sales background in dental technology, clinical operations, or public health with federal integration.
Established relationships with procurement officers, COs, or program leads in relevant agencies.
Experience contributing to federal contracting strategy or public sector GTM initiatives at an early-stage or high-growth company.
Familiarity with FedRAMP, TIC, and other compliance standards applicable to federal health IT solutions.
