Employment Type: This is a contingent role based upon a successful bid award.

Summary:

We are seeking a MuleSoft Solution Architect to join our Federal team. This role combines solution architecture, integration leadership, and delivery ownership. This individual will act as the project leader, responsible for aligning business outcomes, defining architecture, and ensuring successful delivery of a production-ready use case within an agreed-upon timeframe.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in API-led connectivity, enterprise integration architecture, and platform design, along with the ability to drive delivery outcomes in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

Architecture & Solution Leadership
  • Define end-to-end architecture for agent-enabled workflows, integrating MuleSoft, Application, Data, and AI platforms
  • Design API-led architectures (System, Process, Experience APIs) aligned to business use cases
  • Establish patterns for MCP-based API exposure for AI agents
  • Define patterns for agent-to-agent (A2A) interaction and coordination, enabling agents to collaborate and invoke enterprise capabilities through MuleSoft APIs
  • Define integration strategy across ERP, SaaS, and legacy systems

Project Delivery
  • Lead execution of a production-first use case, ensuring delivery within defined timeline
  • Align stakeholders on business outcomes, success criteria, and scope boundaries
  • Drive architecture, backlog prioritization, and delivery execution
  • Ensure delivery of:
    • Production-ready workflows
    • Real system integrations
    • Measurable business outcomes

Data & AI Integration
  • Collaborate on establishing data contexts (MDM, governance, contextual data)
  • Integrate Data, Data Cloud and/or Informatica into solution architecture
  • Define how AI agents interact with enterprise systems via APIs
  • Ensure proper use of LLM gateway patterns and token monitoring considerations

Delivery Leadership & Governance
  • Act as primary point of accountability for delivery success (architecture + execution)
  • Provide lightweight project management oversight (timeline, risks, dependencies)
  • Lead workshops, demos, and stakeholder alignment sessions
  • Establish governance, DevOps readiness, and expansion roadmap

Client & Partner Engagement
  • Partner with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Data Foundation stakeholders
  • Support pre-sales and solutioning on new opportunities
  • Translate technical architecture into clear business value narratives

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in integration architecture and platform design
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Strong understanding of API-led connectivity and microservices architecture
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SaaS, legacy)
  • Strong ownership mindset (end-to-end accountability), with experience leading client-facing delivery engagements
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, outcome-driven delivery models, balancing architecture with speed
  • Outcome-oriented (not feature-oriented) and comfortable with ambiguity and rapid delivery cycles
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred:
  • Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and/or Informatica (MDM, governance)
  • Exposure to AI/agent architectures, including:
    • API exposure for AI tools (MCP concepts)
    • Agent orchestration patterns
    • Experience with event-driven architecture and real-time integrations
    • Familiarity with LLM integration patterns and observability (token usage, monitoring)
