 App Quality Assurance Co-op

Work Period: Early July through Mid December

Location: 5 Days a Week Onsite Needham, MA. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.  
Our mission to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world allows our employees to be thinkers, designers and doers, creators and number crunchers, makers of things they love.  We are looking for passionate students who have an interest in participating in application quality assurance testing of app-connected robotic vacuum and Ninja kitchen products to ensure reliability and consumer satisfaction. 

Overview:

Primary focus will be testing the SharkClean & Ninja ProConnect applications to ensure proper functionality and meeting specified requirements.  The daily tasks will be executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with development & other QA teams to resolve issues throughout the app development lifecycle.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:  

  • Interest in participating in day-to-day testing for manual mobile applications
  • Understanding UI/UX functionality for mobile applications
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) along with good listening skills 
  • Flexible in approach
  • Out-of-the-box thinker
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable expressing a point of view to challenge conventional thinking
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies (Sanity, Regression, Exploratory, Negative, etc.)

PREFERRED:  

  • Coursework in relevant topics (e.g. web/application engineering, computer science, robotics)
  • Experience with robotics (e.g. microcontrollers such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi, sensors such as IR and Lidar)
  • Experience working with consumer-facing IOT devices
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and/or Software Testing Life Cycle
  • Experience with Jira or similar Test Case/Defect Management Tools
