The Role:
We are looking for a strategic Manufacturing Engineering Launch Manager to join our team, responsible for driving the planning and execution of specific assignments related to the Orion Assembly manufacturing operations launch activities. Leveraging existing GM systems, you will utilize advanced techniques such as data analytics, utilize best practices, and ensure alignment between production and engineering for specific assignments.
What You'll Do:
• Responsible for the launch of various plant activities. Scope will include various sustainment projects and automation development systems within the site. • Lead the procurement of specific development automation equipment and controls infrastructure related to new technology being introduced to the site. • Collaborate across Bodyshop, General Assembly and Paint to define requirements for optimization projects. • Drive automation risk assessments, safety validations, and compliance for the equipment Plant Manufacturing Engineering is responsible to manage. • Coordinate with construction teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of facility upgrades. • Ensure facility modifications align with automation requirements, ergonomic standards, and environmental regulations. • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, safety to deliver integrated solutions from our site. • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules for both facility and automation scopes. • Track progress against key milestones and proactively mitigate risks, delays, or scope changes.

Required Qualifications:
• 7+ Years direct operations experience • B.S. in Engineering (other technical disciplines may be considered) • Ability to travel around 20% of the time (US and international) • Experienced in manufacturing operations. • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making. • Proficient in presentation development, data visualization tools for reporting and analysis
