Perform barrel and rack plating operations including loading/unloading parts, monitoring and maintaining plating tanks and chemicals, checking plating thickness/quality, operating plating equipment, maintaining production logs, following hazardous-chemical safety procedures, and supporting additional manufacturing tasks. Second-shift role with overtime and mandatory Saturday mornings; training on first shift for about one month.
Electroswitch is seeking two Plater A professionals to join our manufacturing team in Rockland, MA on 2nd shift. These are newly created positions supporting our plating operations and production growth.
This role is responsible for performing barrel plating and rack plating operations while working with hazardous chemicals and maintaining plating tank processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform barrel plating and rack plating operations
- Monitor plating tanks and chemical levels
- Add and maintain plating chemicals as required
- Load, unload, dip, and hang parts for plating processes
- Check plating thickness and quality
- Operate plating and related production equipment
- Maintain accurate production and plating logs
- Follow all safety and hazardous chemical handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support additional manufacturing operations as needed
A $2.00/hour shift differential is offered for all 2nd shift hours worked.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous plating experience preferred
- Experience working with acids and hazardous chemicals strongly preferred
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and quality

- 2nd shift position

- Training will take place on 1st shift for approximately one month or longer depending on experience
