The ETF Servicing team is responsible for supporting and managing the operations of BlackRock’s ETF franchise. The team partners closely with colleagues across portfolio management, capital markets, technology, product development, and operations to ensure the effective execution of activities across the ETF lifecycle. The group plays a critical role in delivering a high-quality experience for Authorized Participants and supporting the continued growth, innovation, and scalability of the ETF business.

Your role and impact
 

This leadership role sits within the ETF Servicing organization and is responsible for overseeing core operational workflows across the ETF lifecycle while maintaining a strong control environment. The successful candidate will help shape the future of the ETF servicing model through operational excellence, risk management, strategic change initiatives, and platform enhancements. This role will also collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to support new product development, improve scalability, and contribute to BlackRock’s commercial objectives.

Your responsibilities

The scope of this role also includes the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing ETF Servicing team that supports partners across portfolio management, capital markets, technology, product development, and operations while delivering an exceptional experience for Authorized Participants and the broader ETF ecosystem.
  • Foster a culture where risk management is a core priority and operational risk is effectively identified, assessed, and managed across all aspects of the operating model.
  • Expand and strengthen the global ETF Servicing footprint with a clear vision for organizational effectiveness, employee development, and stakeholder support.
  • Evolve governance frameworks and performance metrics to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the ETF Servicing function and identify opportunities to streamline, scale, and improve operations.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to support new product launches, operational enhancements, and strategic transformation initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence through scalable processes, strong controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the achievement of broader business objectives through effective execution, collaboration, and service delivery.

Your experience
 

  • Demonstrated experience and a strong track record of success within the ETF industry.
  • Leadership across ETF operations and related functions, including client service, fund accounting, and custody/banking, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across global, regional, and local teams.
  • Outstanding people leadership and culture-building skills, fostering a high-performing environment grounded in respect, collaboration, and inclusivity.
  • Exceptional communication and strategic execution skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information for senior leaders and drive enterprise-wide outcomes.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a demonstrated curiosity and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in business process and technology design as a product owner, sponsor, or subject matter expert.
  • Successful track record contributing to high-visibility strategic initiatives and transformation efforts.
  • FINRA Series 99 and SIE licenses are required for this role and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$215,000.00 - USD$275,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Boston, MA Only the salary range for this position is USD$195,000.00 - USD$245,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$178,500.00 - USD$225,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
