The Equipment Engineer supports the reliability and readiness of test equipment assets across our Boeing company site in Heath. This role applies engineering principles to test, troubleshoot, and evaluate equipment, electronic components, and circuit cards. Working with site test equipment maintenance teams and under the guidance of senior engineers, the engineer recommends corrective actions and supports their implementation. The role also develops clear, practical documentation for test procedures, maintenance activities, and recommended spare equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Test and troubleshoot site test equipment assets to identify faults and support reliable operation
  • Assist site test equipment maintenance teams in evaluating failed electronic components and circuit cards
  • Analyze test results and equipment failures, then develop recommendations for corrective actions
  • Support implementation of approved corrective actions in coordination with maintenance teams and under the oversight of senior engineers
  • Create and maintain documentation describing test procedures, troubleshooting steps, results, and recommended practices
  • Develop recommendations for spare parts and equipment to keep on hand, based on observed failures, maintenance needs, and operational requirements
  • Document equipment issues, findings, corrective actions, and follow-up results
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel, engineering teams, and site stakeholders to support test equipment readiness
  • Follow applicable safety, quality, configuration-control, and documentation requirements

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Ability to evaluate electronic components, circuit cards, and test equipment
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prepare clear technical procedures and documentation
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance personnel and engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge or practical understanding of mechanical systems
  • Experience with test equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with electronic test methods, diagnostic tools, and circuit-level analysis
  • Experience developing technical procedures, maintenance documentation, or spare-parts recommendations
  • Ability to work under the guidance of senior engineers while exercising sound engineering judgment

Summary Pay Range: $71,400 - $96,600
