Company Description

my19th is a start-up holding and venture incubator, focused on spinning out projects into stand-alone subsidiaries. The team specializes in creative solutions spanning multiple industries, possessing access to niche verticals, and pursues unique solutions to attack real problems, validating them quickly, using data-driven and experimental approaches to rapid prototype and pilot products and services. The operating philosophy centers on persistence, patience, and perspective, ensuring only the most resilient ideas move forward and the team embodies these.

Role Description

You will be the commercial owner, chief evangelist, and growth champion of a single product: a mobile-first event & stakeholder communication platform. You own its market validation, pilot pipeline, executive sales conversations, and revenue generation end-to-end. I cover business strategy, funding, and corporate structure. You will partner directly with our Project Architect & Full-Stack Engineer—a dedicated technical owner who builds, delivers, and scales the product infrastructure end-to-end. Your split is the deal: you turn a functional product into signed, paying corporate partnerships; they build the flawless, high-scale technology that makes good on your promises. This is not an account management role. It is a commercial partnership built for rapid market execution and ownership of an outcome.

What's Live Today

A functional POC in soft launch/alpha explicitly optimized for enterprise, multi-stakeholder demonstrations:

  • Password auth with role system (participants, staff, admins)
  • Real-time status updates with schedule-based estimations
  • Admin dashboard with analytics optimized for sponsor, brand, and venue conversations
  • Clean, reliable tech stack built for rapid deployment and zero external service friction

Where it's headed

Our go-to-market strategy relies entirely on securing high-impact Pilot Partnerships. The product is hitting the exact sweet spot where world-class physical footprints meet digital customer journeys—targeting environments like mega-venues, theme parks, professional sports tours, and cruise ecosystems.

You will lead the commercial strategy to get this platform in front of heads of innovation, CMOs, COOs, and operations directors at enterprise scales (think Mall of America, Disney World, PGA Tour, Carnival, and the Masters). You will navigate risk-averse corporate procurement processes to secure localized pilot test agreements.

To support your pipeline, our technical partner is engineering a highly modular architecture built to quickly spin up localized features, sponsor brand integrations, and custom venue configurations as you secure new pilot cohorts. They are specifically building for offline/P2P mesh deployments to handle congested venue networks, multi-venue scaling, and "phygital" commerce features.

Opportunity

  • Niche: Sports, entertainment, and live event engagement—a sector driving a $170B+ annual economic impact that remains deeply underserved by modern digital tools.
  • Validated need: Target users directly defined the product; informal stakeholder interviews with operators in these verticals have already confirmed severe operational demand.
  • Growth trajectory: Event technology is projected to grow at an aggressive 15–18% CAGR through 2034–2035.
  • The Revenue Path: Monetization via B2B SaaS licensing, sponsor activations, premium promotions, and embedded advertising. Your job is to secure the initial pilot agreements that unlock these revenue streams.

Compensation

Zero cash compensation at this stage. Equity-equivalent compensation via Class C membership units, issued under a written agreement modeled on SAFE principles: an agreed exchange rate for time contributed and/or pipeline value unlocked, converting or distributing upon defined profitability or financing events. Terms are documented up front and not negotiated after you've invested months of work.

Starting terms: 1–5% equity equivalent of the project venture, milestone-vested.

Important scope note: project equity is scoped to the specific project venture you contribute to, and not the holding company/incubator dba my19th.com, or other projects in the studio portfolio. As you climb the ladder below, studio-level equity becomes available. Rolodex deployments or capital contributions may qualify for a separate preferred conversion rate ("day-zero" terms), negotiated in writing before deployment.

Why project-level first? Because 1–5% of one venture you personally brought to market is larger, faster, and clearer than a sliver of a multi-project studio. Studio-level ownership is earned through the ladder, not granted at intake.

The Ladder

This studio has many projects in discovery. If we collaborate well, there is room to grow well beyond a single product. The path we've designed, and intend to offer the right person, looks like this:

  1. Enterprise BD / Growth Director: owns pipeline, pitches, and pilot adoption for one product end-to-end.
    • Gate: Secure our first 2 live, revenue-generating or highly-validated enterprise pilots; mutual fit review.
  2. Commercial Partnerships VP: owns revenue strategy for 2+ studio products concurrently; models commercial playbooks.
    • Gate: Multiple active enterprise accounts + demonstrated cross-project revenue prioritization.
  3. Studio Chief Revenue Officer (CRO): cross-project monetization standards, brand governance, hires and leads your own sales/marketing team.
    • Gate: Sustained track record of enterprise contract conversions + studio-level commercial strategy adopted.
  4. Growth Co-Founder: co-ownership and shared governance of the studio.
    • The final stage isn't a title we award — it's a partnership we enter when the commercial track record makes it inevitable.

What accelerates the path

  • Pipeline Velocity: Moving risk-averse enterprise prospects from discovery call to signed pilot ahead of plan.
  • Commercial-Technical Velocity: Seamlessly collaborating with our technical architect to rapidly de-risk engineering objections during the sales process and shipping stable pilot deployments that turn testing accounts into multi-year enterprise contracts.
  • Commercial Contribution: Landing anchor clients, bringing strategic sponsor activations, or brokering growth capital toward the work.
  • Talent Multiplication: Recruiting high-performing sales contractors, marketing minds, or industry advisors into the studio. A-players recruit A-players.
  • Studio-level Judgment: Knowing when to double-down on a hot lead, and knowing when an industry vertical is a dead-end and communicating that to the team early.

Authority scales the same way: from day one you have a voice in hiring, roadmap, and fundraising; at each rung that voice becomes accountability. At every rung, scope expands faster than comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and pitch executive-level decision makers at sports properties, live event venues, and hospitality ecosystems.
  • Drive the complete sales cycle: cold outreach to warm network deployment, presentation, technical discovery support, and contract signature.
  • Act as the public "face of the brand," bringing our Technical Architect into executive conversations to handle deep-dives, corporate IT discovery, data privacy compliance, and live software demonstrations.
  • Structure innovative, low-friction "Pilot Program" agreements that get our tech deployed live in high-visibility environments.
  • Feed real-time marketplace feedback, custom feature requests, and customer objections directly back to the engineering team.
  • Make highly cost-effective, strategic choices regarding CRM tools, lead-generation data, and commercial travel/networking spend.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, B2B business development, or commercial partnerships within the sports, entertainment, or hospitality sectors.
  • An active, warm network of operational contacts at large-scale physical venues, festivals, theme parks, or sports leagues.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity: the ability to take an early-stage product and craft a high-stakes, consultative pitch that commands executive attention.
  • Self-directed but proactive in communication—especially in syncing with technical and operational partners.
  • Time management: this runs alongside other obligations; you own your schedule and your pipeline.
  • Currently employed or otherwise stable; this role is explicitly designed to be proven in part-time before it ever asks more of you.

Bonus

Experience working directly within or selling into premium ecosystems like PGA Tour events, tier-1 music festivals, major cruise lines, or destination retail spaces. Prior founding-role, agency-leadership, or early-stage startup growth experience. Deep understanding of B2B event-tech marketplaces, premium hospitality operations, or sponsor monetization strategies.

OUR VALUES

Simplicity over complexity · Users over technology · Sustainable pace, this is a marathon; we jog or we get left behind · Transparency · Craft

HOW TO APPLY

Connect on LinkedIn (the founder posts and replies personally), or email [email protected] directly. Include:

  1. Who you are and why the sports/entertainment experiential space excites you, briefly.
  2. Your LinkedIn profile or portfolio of previous major partnerships/deals closed.
  3. The most complex enterprise deal or pilot partnership you ever successfully pitched, and what almost derailed it before signing.
  4. The number of hours per week you can ACTUALLY commit, realistically, not aspirational.
  5. One question about this product or model that tells us you read past the first paragraph.

I'll reach out to schedule a call, walk through our process, and see if there's synergy.
