About Arcana

Arcana was named one of LinkedIn's Top Startups of 2026, among the 50 fastest-rising companies in the U.S, alongside Anthropic, Perplexity, Cognition, etc.

Arcana is the front-office portfolio intelligence platform built for hedge funds and asset managers. It gives investment professionals—from CIOs and portfolio managers to analysts and risk teams—the software they need to understand performance and risk, construct portfolios, evaluate investments, and make better decisions.

The institutional investment software stack hasn't kept up with how modern investment teams work, and we're rebuilding it from the ground up.

The Role

This is a senior individual contributor role with a multi-million quota ownership and real room to make your mark. You'll take Arcana into some of the most sophisticated investment firms and sit across the table from CIOs, heads of risk, and portfolio managers.

We're looking for a top-tier enterprise seller who consistently finishes at the top of their team. You enjoy complex, high-stakes institutional sales cycles, and you care as much about growing an account as about closing it. At a company our size, every deal you close is visible and moves the business.

What You'll Do
  • Run the full cycle. Handle every stage, from sourcing and executive engagement through solution positioning, procurement, and close.
  • Win complex deals. Close multi-stakeholder SaaS contracts with hedge funds and asset managers.
  • Build lasting relationships. Become a trusted partner to CIOs, COOs, Heads of Risk, PMs, and senior investment leaders.
  • Be the face of Arcana. Represent us at industry conferences and in senior-level meetings.
  • Shape the product. Work closely with Product and Leadership to turn what you hear in the market into strategy.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally selling into hedge funds, asset managers, or institutional allocators
  • A track record as a consistent top performer who closes high-value enterprise deals
  • Proven success closing high-ACV SaaS or financial technology contracts
  • Fluency in institutional investment workflows, including portfolio analytics, attribution, risk, alpha/beta, drawdowns, and factor models
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
Nice to Have
  • MBA, CFA, or similar credential
  • Experience selling portfolio analytics, risk systems, OMS/PMS, or market data solutions
  • Experience as a senior regional individual contributor

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
