As the Engineering Manager for Moonlock Lab, you will lead the development and execution of initiatives that drive Moonlock's ability to stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the tools, infrastructure, and workflows that power threat research and malware analysis.
In this role, you'll lead a driven team, ensuring collaboration across research, reverse engineering, threat intelligence, development, and Moonlock Lab's public efforts.
In this role, you will:
- Take over team processes and maintain current performance and SLAs.
- Plan and prioritize engineering tasks in collaboration with Product Managers and the Director of Engineering.
- Guide and coach the team, ensuring growth, accountability, and quality output.
- Remove blockers, mitigate risks, and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Support the product certification process.
- Own people management responsibilities: hiring, training, time-off, development, salary review, and more.
- Actively contribute to company-wide initiatives and technical transformation projects.
Skills you'll need to bring:
- Demonstrated experience in Engineering Manager (or similar) role.
- A solid technical background.
- Hands-on experience with malware detection, threat intelligence, or security tooling is a big plus.
- A fast-learning mindset and a love of diving into new tools and techniques.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- The ability to balance routine work with continuous improvements.
