System Integration Engineer

Looking for hardworking and results-oriented engineers with a passion for supporting real-time product development, who enjoy working in a dynamic multidisciplinary team. As part of continuous integration and design, the team works quickly and efficiently to tackle aggressive deliverables and milestones. Resources should have strong engineering fundamentals and be comfortable wearing many hats on the project team. Needs will arise with embedded code, test work and hardware support initiatives. Therefore, those who like managing different aspects of the product design and who can interface cross functionally through the team would align best for the environment.

This role will be for implementing software for managing device connectivity, transmitting device information, downloading software updates, etc. The development will be in C and Python and the role will be based in the Needham office.

· B.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a scientific/engineering discipline

· Background with embedded systems design and real-time product development

· Python experience developing multithreaded applications

· Embedded OS experience with Linux, VxWorks, Integrity or other RTOS

· Experience with connected devices and Azure or AWS

· Experience following formal software development processes

· Experience with hardware components and interfacing at the chip and circuit levels

· Ability to decompose functional requirements into tests.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Creative approach to problem solving.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to work in a dynamic, customer focused and multidisciplinary environment.

· Ability to work both independently and in a team.

· Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with customers to define software solutions

· Ability to tackle multiple initiatives simultaneously

· Comfortable working towards deliverables and deadlines

· Thrives in a fast-paced design environment

· Ability to work collaboratively and independently as resources should communicate effectively but also be comfortable solutioning at their own desk without needing consistent management direction or oversight
