Production Hardware Test Engineer

We are seeking a self-motivated individual to join our Operations team as a Hardware Test Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to develop test fixtures and programs to test our robotic systems at Contract Manufacturers and on the Manufacturing floor. Hardware Test Engineering experience, teamwork, and familiarity with the workings of electro-mechanical systems will be critical as you work with contract manufacturing engineering, RHR systems engineers, the operations teams and suppliers to execute the company’s quality objectives and production targets.
You Will:
- Define, document, analyze, perform and interprets tests for new and used products or product components.
- Experience in software test development and automated hardware testing.
- Develop test fixtures and programs to verify the functionality of individual sub-systems with diagnostic capabilities.
- Develop test fixtures and programs to verify final acceptance of completed systems with diagnostic capabilities.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and development of test strategies to achieve the optimal level of test coverage.
- Participate in DFM, ECN and QMS processes and recommend test and manufacturability improvements.
- Perform failure mode analysis and implement corrective action for production and customer returns.
- Collaborate with engineering to complete performance testing, reliability testing and agency testing requirements, as required.
- Providing technical know-how and training for production test operators and technicians on test system operation and maintenance.
- Experience in analyzing and testing computer hardware and knowledge of Linux OS.
- Configuring hardware and system environments to accomplish product testing with good understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies and components.
Requirements:
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, develop, document, and improve manufacturing test software, equipment and procedures.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
- Minimum three years professional test engineering experience
- Bachelor’s s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, software engineering or related field is preferred.
