Who you are

You are a highly motivated problem solver, who loves getting things done and is driven to lend a helping hand. You remain calm under pressure but pursue tasks with energy and a need to finish. You also value the time of others while tackling tasks.

You have a passion for AWS, and want to use that love to build scalable systems. You have worked with (or are excited to work with) containers, and configuration management tools such as Ansible. You are proficient in at least one scripting language. You have helped build out CI/CD pipelines and automation processes, whether professionally or in a project. Bonus points if you’ve had experience decomposing a monolithic application.

Lastly, you are motivated to learn new skills and knowledge and have showcased a good appetite towards learning a new product or technology. When things get tough, you rise to the occasion and focus on the solution while managing your time effectively.

What the role is

In this Junior DevOps Engineer role, you will be an integral part of the infrastructure team, helping to maintain and improve Drizly’s development and production environments. You will help automate Drizly’s development pipelines through continuous delivery practices, increasing security and developer efficiency. In addition to this, you will help Drizly scale to meet future demands by modernizing our infrastructure through containers, continuous integration and automation. Ultimately, you will impact developer happiness and efficiency through powerful developer tools and services.

In this role you will:

• Expand upon your AWS skillset, including setting up new accounts inside of our AWS Organization, assisting teams with connectivity troubleshooting, creating permission sets
• Assist with best practices/methodologies for provisioning, application scaling, configuration management, monitoring, etc.
• Help implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform
• Continue to automate the deployment of our platform and all the systems it depends on
• Independently take on and complete Ansible work
• Solve problems by working with the greater engineering team to resolve large scale production issues
