Electrical Engineer Co-op, Consumer Product Testing and Analysis Jan - June 2022

We are looking for passionate electrical engineering students that have an interest in product development and product testing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building electro-mechanical test fixtures that enable us to measure consumer satisfaction and product reliability for SharkNinja’s current and future products. In addition, you will be creating test protocols and analyzing performance on our Shark or Ninja products. This is an opportunity to use your creative skills to solve open-ended problems and learn about how consumer products are made and tested.

Key responsibilities include

• Assisting in the testing of a variety of SharkNinja products
• Use data output requirements to design, build, and validate automated test fixtures
• Assisting in the development of new testing protocols
• Assisting in the teardown of SharkNinja and competitor products
• Documenting results and classifying issues along with pictures
• Researching consumer sentiment to drive KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and CSIs (Consumer Satisfaction Indicators)
• Perform data analysis using statistical tools to identify defect trends

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have completed 2+ years in a Electrical Engineering degree program, while maintaining a 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA or better.
• 2021 EE grads will be considered
• Able to work full time January - June
• An inquisitive personality (builder or tinkerer)
• A natural and effective communicator capable of reducing abstract concepts to reality in both oral and written form
• Attention to detail in everything you do
• Comfortable expressing a point of view to challenge conventional thinking
• Software programming experience (C++, Python, etc.)
• Experience with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.
