About Hebbia

The user interface for AGI – Hebbia is AI that works the way you work.

Designed to be generally capable, it can tackle even the most complex tasks, citing answers over any amount of sources. By showing its work, Hebbia empowers users to collaborate with AI on each step and validate responses instead of blindly trusting them. Our mission is to put capable AI in the hands of 1 billion people by 2030.

About the Advisory Vertical

Our Advisory vertical partners with many of our most sophisticated and complex financial services customers across investment banking, boutique advisory firms, and global consulting firms. This includes leading bulge bracket banks, elite boutiques, and top-tier strategy consultants.

As a rapidly growing vertical, Advisory plays a critical role in shaping our commercial strategy and expanding our footprint across corporate finance, capital markets, restructuring, and transaction advisory. The team leads go-to-market execution in these segments and works cross-functionally to inform product roadmap, sales strategy, and account management.

About the Role

Our Engagement team plays a critical role at Hebbia: you will be responsible for the strategic value creation and deployment of Hebbia with our partners, shaping the world of AI in large enterprises.

The Engagement Associate will work with a team of industry veterans to identify new commercial opportunities, shape go-to-market strategies, and drive AI adoption and growth at our largest customers. A strong candidate requires curiosity, critical thinking, cogency, commercial edge, ability to communicate clearly and a desire to run hard at our vision to scale AI for serious work.

If you enjoy solving challenging problems and building strong relationships and teams while doing so, we’d love to hear from you!

This role is based out of our New York City office in Soho (5 days per week).

Responsibilities

  • Process optimization: Define internal processes and workflows to shape the GTM team and improve our customer experience
  • Detail orientation: A focus on detail, and an ability to understand complex banking, financial, and legal workflows (e.g., credit agreements, lease documents, etc.)
  • Relationship orientation: Deeply understand our customer stakeholders and drive value in partnership with them – creatively engage with new teams and drive value and growth for existing customers
  • Ownership in Ambiguity: Operate with autonomy and clarity in fast-moving, unstructured environments — quickly distill complex problems, learn on the fly, and drive toward actionable solutions across customer and product needs.
  • Drive value-backed growth: Identify and capture value with customers, serving as the key driver of our land-and-expand commercial strategy in our Advisory vertical
  • Applied artificial intelligence: Develop expertise with large language models (LLMs) including Open-AI (GPT-4.5), Anthropic (Claude-3.7), and/or Gemini. Apply to complex professional settings and workflows.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Pre-Law

Preference for 1-3 years of experience in top-tier investment banking, finance, or consulting roles

  • Proven ability to bring together customer-facing, analytical, strategic, and cross-functional work
  • Excellent relationship management skills with senior-level stakeholders
  • Strong ownership mindset - you see problems or white space and make it yours
  • Distinctive analytical and problem solving capabilities: structure ambiguous, open-ended problems, and quickly iterate on solutions
  • Innate bias towards action and impact, while working in a nimble and fast-paced environment

Compensation

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the OTE compensation range for this position is set between $80,000 and $160,000 (combination of base salary + bonus). However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
