Regional Energy Lead & Client Partner – Utilities

Location: Charlotte or Chicago (In Person) | Practice Area: Energy | Type: Permanent

Lead the growth of Capco's Energy practice in the Northeast U.S., shaping client strategy, building high-performing teams, and delivering transformational outcomes for leading Utilities organizations.

The Role

Capco is seeking an experienced Regional Energy Lead & Client Partner to establish and grow our Utilities consulting business across the East coast/Midwest U.S. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially driven consulting Partner who combines deep Energy & Utilities expertise with a proven ability to develop client relationships, originate new business, and lead large-scale transformation engagements.

You will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of strategic client accounts, developing market presence, leading complex pursuits, and growing a high-performing consulting team. As the regional leader, you will own both commercial success and client delivery, ensuring exceptional outcomes for our clients while contributing to the continued expansion of Capco's global Energy Practice.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the growth of Capco's Utilities business by developing executive relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading complex sales pursuits across the Northeast U.S.
  • Own a portfolio of strategic client accounts, taking responsibility for revenue growth, commercial performance, client satisfaction, and overall P&L.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing consulting team through hiring, mentoring, performance management, and talent development.
  • Lead the successful delivery of consulting engagements, ensuring quality execution, commercial success, and alignment between client expectations and Capco's delivery capabilities.
  • Shape regional go-to-market strategies, create compelling value propositions, and represent Capco as a trusted advisor within the Energy & Utilities market.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years of consulting experience within the North American Energy & Utilities sector, including both regulated and deregulated markets, with a proven track record of building consulting business.
  • Strong expertise in Digital, Technology, and Consulting services across Utilities, with experience spanning multiple operational and enterprise technology domains such as Grid Modernization, AMI, GIS, EMS, ADMS, OMS, DER, EAM, Customer Information Systems, Trading & Risk Management, and related platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading executive client relationships, developing proposals, winning complex consulting engagements, and managing large strategic accounts.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-suite executives and leading client workshops.
  • Bachelor's degree and willingness to travel up to 50% across the East coast/Midwest.
