Overview
MagLev Aero is seeking an entrepreneurial, mission-driven leader to serve as our Embedded Entrepreneur as part of our participation in DARPA’s Embedded Entrepreneur Initiative (EEI). The EEI is inclusive of the DARPA Commercial Accelerator program which provides a Senior Commercial Advisor (SCA) to conduct due diligence and advise MagLev Aero on a part-time basis. The selected candidate will lead MagLev Aero’s commercial transition efforts—bridging technology, market entry, and scalable operations. The EE will interact with the Mag Lev Aero team, the DARPA Commercial Strategy Team, and the DARPA Commercial Accelerator to include the SCA provided.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute commercialization strategy for defense and commercial markets
- Identify and structure teaming agreements with OEMs, integrators, and partners
- Establish sales pipeline and customer engagement
- Support fundraising and proposal capture
- Execute EEI milestones in coordination with DARPA
- 7+ years in aerospace, unmanned systems, or commercialization roles
- Defense or government experience preferred
- Startup and investor engagement experience a plus
- Strong communication and BD skills
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
