As an Embedded Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the design, development, and debugging of embedded software and firmware. Job Description:
- Experience in working on DO-178B/C aerospace programs
- Experienced in driving common test architecture/environment/strategies, tools, processes.
- Very good grasp on C, C++, Python and Embedded programming
- Experience in using Gen AI tools – ChatGPT, Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, to develop application/utilities to automate the process steps
- Experienced in Audits, PDR, CDR, TRR, RFS, Bench setup
- Experienced in influencing SW architecture to support most efficient approach of testing.
- Stay abreast on the latest embedded software testing technologies of aerospace and adjacencies.
- Review and approve the preliminary design review and critical design review for the most efficient test approach and solution.
- Expertise in using debuggers, simulators, Vector Cast/Cover, MATLAB
- Experience in evaluating new technologies (multi core processors, hand held, graphics etc), new architecture design tools experienced in developing and defining process that helps mistake proof work in the efficient way
- Experienced in leading technical development activities, guiding lower level engineers, collaborating with cross functional teams and driving to objectives of quality, cost and schedule
- Experienced in managing stakeholders within and outside organization demonstrate ability to identify and propose technical improvements using engineering expertise.
Qualifications
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering (ECE/CS/EEE)
• 8 - 10 years’ experience in avionics software development/systems/software verification with minimum 2 years’ experience as a Technical Lead in software verification or development.
• Strong technical skills with emphasis in the areas of software development and verification processes, certification, and DO-178 design assurance guidelines.
• Strong understanding of software verification methods and tools currently in use as well as versed in industry standards and direction.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Applicant should be highly motivated and have the ability to influence technical decisions.
• The candidate shall have effective communication skills, work well as a member of a global management team, possess an understanding of the role of software in modern products, and be highly motivated.
