WHOOP is hiring an Electrical Engineer II to help develop the next generation of wearable technology that enables members to better understand and improve their health and performance. As part of the Hardware Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Software teams to design, prototype, validate, and launch high-volume consumer electronics. You are a hands-on engineer with a strong foundation in electrical engineering who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering reliable products from concept through production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop low-power, mixed-signal electronic circuits for wearable products, contributing from concept through production.
Create schematics, support PCB layout, prototype hardware, and perform bring-up, debugging, and characterization using standard laboratory equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define requirements, execute verification and validation plans, and resolve technical issues throughout product development.
Support new product introduction (NPI) by partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to ensure successful product launches and high-volume production.
Research and evaluate new components, technologies, and design approaches to improve product performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
Up to 15% travel domestically and internationally to partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturers
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or greater in Electrical Engineering or related field
2+ years experience in relevant fields
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including analog and digital circuit design, power management, signal integrity, and common communication interfaces.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB design using ECAD tools such as Altium or equivalent.
Hands-on laboratory experience with soldering, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
