We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Education Operations Specialist to join the Onshape Education Team at PTC. Our team supports schools worldwide by providing access to professional-grade CAD software and resources. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes and values education. This customer-facing role plays an important part in ensuring a scalable and efficient experience for education customers. 

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Education Account Management and Customer Sucess teams to support education institutions through the full customer lifecycle—from initial sales to renewals. You’ll work directly with customers to coordinate legal and accessibility requests, manage product provisioning, and help ensure a smooth purchasing and renewal experience for our education customers. You’ll also help identify opportunities for efficiency enabling the team to scale our impact on classrooms worldwide.

Key Responsibilities: 

Drive Operations and Scalability 

  • Optimize and drive the sales and renewal operations processes 

  • Be the main POC with customers for sales support activities 

  • Create and maintain Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and deduplication 

  • Support Customer Success and Account Management teams with billing details, documentation (e.g. Quotes, W-9, VAT forms, sole source letters), and payment follow-ups 

  • Ensure donation and trial opportunities are properly documented and closed (won/lost) 

 

Enable Customers & Internal Teams 

  • Respond to inbound inquiries from educators and administrators 

  • Work with customers on their legal and accessibility requests 

  • Coordinate legal and compliance documentation with PTC Legal, Order Ops, and Privacy teams 

  • Route and track accessibility and tech service requests with relevant internal teams 

  • Act as a point of contact for the Onshape Operations, Billing, and Credit & Collections teams regarding education-related orders 

 

Reporting & Continuous Improvement 

  • Develop and maintain reports and forecasts using Salesforce, Looker, and Excel 

  • Identify trends and prepare quarterly (or more frequent) presentations for leadership 

  • Support internal reporting, documentation requests 

  • Proactively recommend and implement operational enhancements 

  • Identify automation opportunities to help the team scale adoption 

Qualifications & Experience  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, customer support, or process coordination 

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders and external customers 

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment 

  • Excellent Excel skills 

  • Salesforce.com knowledge or SAP knowledge  

  • Familiarity with Zuora and CPQ billing systems or other relevant billing/invoicing systems 

  • Looker, Oracle Analytics (formerly known as Oracle BI), Tableau, DocuSign - nice to have
