These positions are fully remote. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The E-EFMP QA / 508 / Test Engineer will: 

  • Develop test plans, test cases, and scripts for manual and automated testing. 
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT tests. 
  • Reproduce defects, collect logs, and document root-cause details for developers. 
  • Validate accessibility compliance using WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 standards. 
  • Conduct cross-browser and responsive UI testing. 
  • Test API functionality, error handling, and backend interactions. 
  • Maintain test documentation including results, traceability matrices, and defect reports. 
  • Contribute to automated test suites and help expand automation coverage. 
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to validate acceptance criteria. 
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support sprint-based testing cycles. 
  • Provide recommendations to improve overall quality, accessibility, and testing processes. 
Qualifications

Clearance Requirement 

Must hold an active Secret clearance, supported by a Tier 3 background investigation. 


Education (Required) 

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, QA/Testing, or a related technical field. 


Experience (Required) 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, accessibility testing, or software testing roles. 
  • Experience performing manual and automated test execution. 
  • Experience with WCAG/508 accessibility validation. 
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs. 
  • Experience documenting defects and test results clearly and accurately. 

Technical Knowledge (Required) 

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile testing practices. 
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / Section 508). 
  • Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI). 

Technical Knowledge (Preferred) 

  • Experience in a DoD or federal IT environment. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration for testing. 
  • Understanding of load and performance testing tools. 

Certifications 

Required: 

  • WCAG / Section 508 Accessibility Certification 

Preferred: 

  • CompTIA Security+ 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation 
  • Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or similar QA certifications 

Skills 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Strong written communication skills for defect reporting and documentation. 
  • High attention to detail and dedication to quality. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and UX teams. 
  • Strong organization and ability to balance multiple test cycles.
